I had my kitchen remodeled a month ago. The project manager was great. I have many friends complaining about contractors late appointments but I was concerned about that int his company but I went with the $7,900 promotion and everything went well, I paid less and they were always informative if they were later - the project manager would always inform me with reasonable excuses. I compared the prices in the area and honestly I couldn't find any company with the same price. I am a stay at home mom and while the project was in progress I was usually dealing with contractors that can speak English okay but the most important thing is that they were willing to help and they fixed the issue right away when I had any. I am planning to have my bathroom done next year and I plan to work with the same company.

We had issues with them coming to do work when they weren't supposed to and also not coming when we were told they were going to be there. Each day we had to check up on what they did and they often ended up redoing their work. We are still at odds with them over a detail which they do not want to fix according to the contract and have asked us for more money if we want our bathroom the way the contract stated. Then they threatened to put a mechanic's lien on our house. The owner has horrible English and is impossible to reason with. Update: They are attempting to work with us to resolve the issues. Still in progress

I see all these bad reviews and what I have to say is that they seem to have gotten better with the communication. The office assistants speak English now and the project manager they have now is better. I did have a lot of late appointments from their contractors. Actually, the biggest problem is their contractors. The people in the show room were great! Once the project started, that's when we started having problems. I just have to say that you have to be on the contractors for them to do everything in a time fashionable manner. Great work, though, once it was finished, and the products are amazing.

Update from earlier post.. Going to court. Damaged master tub, hall tub and hall vanity, failed inspections, lies upon lies. Troy to blame me for the problems. Stay away, far away from these guys.

In Sept '10 we had them come out and do measurements for a large bath remodel. Our bath was already gutted so all they had to do was put everything in. Arriving late was an understatement and when they did arrive, they wanted to stay late...pass 10 pm. The project was supposed to take 15 days, it took 3 months. It is now Dec '11 and the tile is cracking at EVERY SEAM! Are you kidding me? I will NEVER use again or suggest anyone uses this company EVER!

We had a great beginning and then went downhill!! Late appts, language issues, horrible communication! Fancy computer software to show us what the finished bathroom would look like. The Project Manager was good to work with (at that point). They came out to take measurements. We are satisfied with our bathroom. Now the frustrations! Never on time for appointments, didn't call when they would be late or just a flat no-show. Being late 5 minutes is one thing but that would've been a dream. They were often 1-2 hours late! The workers didn't start until 11:00 or later then therefore wanted to work 'til 8:00 at night and we would have to shut them down so that we could get the kids in bed and we could wind down! Horrible customer service! I would never want to work with them again. The products are great but the service (labor and consultation) not so good! We were quoted about 12 days to do the project and it took about 3 weeks including weekends! We actually got their name from a Home Depot Employee because they couldn't get their subcontractors to get us an estimate (More horrible customer service) so they had heard positive things about American K&B. I hope no one uses them because they don't deserve to call themselves kitchen & bath remodelers. It's even been several months since then project and I'm still furious

My experience with this company started out good. The owner came out promptly, measured, took photos and set up my appointment for the following day with his designer. At the 3hr appointment, I viewed the design, picked out the door style, finish and trim. David the designer, told me he would call me with the final design and estimate. After almost 3 weeks, I called to see about the estimate and was told by Wes that he does all the estimates and he had no idea who I was...he would have to look for my file and call me back. After 3 days, I called Wes, he acted as if he had never spoken to me, He denied that he said he would call me back and told me I was being unreasonable and needed to meet him halfway! I was shocked and asked to speak with the owner who had no idea that I had not recieved an estimate. In closing, I told the owner, what happened. I would have purchased my new kitchen there because I loved the cabinets but the customer service by these employees was so bad that I could not trust them with such a large investment. A shame for this company/owner but I got estimates at many places and did not have service this poor with any other vender.
