They took out a trust deed (instead of a mechanic's lien) when they painted our house back in 2004, which they never took off when we paid off the note. Now they are nowhere to be found and I can't sell the house with the outstanding trust deed. They don't respond and their website is down. I'm sure they went out of business but can't even verify that! "Scuzzy" doesn't begin to describe these con artists! By the way, the "lifetime warranty" paint job had to be completely sanded off since it all peeled and bubbled up - and they wouldn't fix that back in 2008 either!

Had home exterior done; now need some repairs. Nu-Cote does not show up for estimate appt. and they do not return calls after saying they will. We have been dealing with this for over 2 yrs. now. I would never recommend this company for anything.

I had a negative experience with Nu-Cote. A guy came knocking at my door, asking if we wanted a quote for double-pane windows. He wouldn't/couldn't give a quote - we had to schedule an appointment with an estimator. We agreed to do that. The estimator came the next day and started asking a lot personal questions of my wife and me - totally unrelated to quoting for windows, which made us feel uncomfortable. I told him I had a busy day, and I would prefer to talk about the quote for the windows. He measured all the windows, then came back into the house and opened a notebook with what looked like a 30-40 page presentation - with nothing about windows. It took 2 or 3 minutes for the first page of the presentation. I reminded him that I had a busy day, and I just wanted to get a quote for installing double-pane windows. As soon as I said that, he put his notebooks away, said that I'm wasting his time and got up and left. He refused to give a quote without me sitting through what appeared to be a one-hour session of brainwashing. His attitude upon leaving was very rude. This is not right. He should respect the customer's time. If the company refuses to give a quote without a one-hour brainwashing session, something is wrong with the company.
