A very dissapointing experience! The pricing was a bait and switch. Took them a month and a half to get started. They built a much inferior product compared to what they priced out and what was clearly on the drawings. When they got caught cheating, they quit and left the job with my deposit. I am in the commercial construction industry, with a great amount of experience in construction, construction contracts and drawing requirements. Mr. OReilly was clearly trying to take advantage of a situation and got caught. Be very careful, and never pay out more than the "delivered" material is worth and what the value of the work accomplished has been. That way you are able to get out unharmed if the contractor defaults. Mr O'Reilly had a million excuses, however we had a signed contract with a complete scope and drawings, they just didn't live up to it.

Please take the time to read both sides of this story! As per D.S. review - this could not be further from the truth. This indiviual has been the most difficult and hard to work with client in the 37 years we have been in business. The bait and switch and starting time all came from this client wanting us to bid this job - with no drawings and no review of the site conditions. After reviewing the drawings, details and the site conditions, we realized our initial bid was extemely low. We had no choice but to increase the bid. Th drawings supplied by this client would NOT have passed final inspection per the City of Altanta Building Inspector who inspected the footings. We proceeded with building a deck that would pass inspection. We have no idea what "cheating" we are accused of. We have not quit - we have ceased work until payment for work completed is received. The deposit equated to hours/days of preparation, materials delivered on site. These materials still remain on site. WE have tried repeatly to offer several resoiutions to D.S., however it is evident he has no intention of resolving the issues,as well as payment for the work completed. In closing, we will be more careful when choosing our future clients as well as how we market our company.
