Dr. Raver is a wonderful veterinarian! She is caring and has taken great care of our cats, Onyx and Belle. Onyx is a grumpy cat and has diabetes. Dr. Raver has spend hours with John and me teaching us how to care for him. She is always there when you need her! Thank you, Dr. Raver, you're the best! Oakhurst is a great place and the people are kind and helpful. I highly recommend it! We drive from northeast St. Petersburg to Oakhurst to see Dr. Raver. Great people, great care, great place!!

Let me start by saying that this vet center has very able vets that do seem to care a great deal for our animals and I don't want to take from that. However, of all of the vets I have been to they are the most BUSINESS like. They are by far the most expensive vet in the area. Some other issues were that our cat has special diet needs, they stopped carrying his food because "they were not making any money on it." So we had to go elsewhere for the food, which is a real pain. We also were told that they required our dog to be sedated or put under to have his chip put in. This is unheard of by most vets, unnecessary risk to our dog let alone an unnecessary expense. We changed over to Indian Rocks Animal Hospital... Great Folks!

I have been taking my animals to Oakhurst for over 17 years. First my Yorkie "Kelsie" that lived to be 17 years old, and then my now 17 year old cat "Conan" and my 3 year old Shih Tzu "Maya:. These are my babies and I wouldn't trust their health to any but Dr. "B". at Oakhurst. There are several other great Vets there as well, but Dr. "B" is a super special woman and vet. She loves my animals like I do & has given them all such great care. She makes you feel like you are the only patient she has that day when in fact she is super busy. Check her out, you'll never change vets again.
