WARNING! Do not park here and then leave your vehicle in the parking lot. The signs on One Star Ranch indicate FREE parking, but that is only while you're in the building. The management is ridiculously rude, and will do nothing for their paying customers if they are booted, INCLUDING REFUSING TO PRINT ME A RECEIPT OF MY DINNER! Not only is this horrible customer service a reason to never visit again, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and rustic, and the food was subpar. The beef ribs are covered with fat, which of course makes them taste fine, but so would a tub of fat with some BBQ sauce.

I have been there three times within four months, and all three times I found the portions small, the service spotty, and on not one, but two occasions, I was given dirty silverware and those school-cafeteria-like plates they use need to go. The plastic surface does not dishwash very well and I found a speck of dried meat on my plate. That's a real turnoff. Parking can be hideous here on Thu-Fri-Sat nights. I fail to see what is so glowing about this establishment. Very blah, average food, at best.

My husband and I went to One Star for the first time on July 4, 2007. All of the food was Great. My favorite were the pork ribs, oh my goodness what wonderful flavor. The beef ribs were huge, meaty, tender, delicious and perfectly charred. However, pork ribs are my favorite. My husband had the chicken and he said it was delicious as well. I had so much good food on my plate I did not bother to try his. We both thought the sides were delicious as well. I ordered a chopped bbq to go that I am sure I will enjoy today. The only negative thing I have to say is we could not get a brownie to go in which I still don't understand. Looking for great bbq, One Star Ranch is the place. You will not regret it.
