I have been a customer at this shop for nearly 9 yrs. Kevin the owner unfortunately fails badly when it comes to customer service and being courteous. I had a Specialized frame warranty and brought it to Kevin. The frame was warrantied by Specialized but working with Kevin through the process was far from pleasant because it was not purchased from his shop. Specialized suggested I take it to Kevin since his shop was the nearest authorized Specialized shop. During the process, Kevin stated to me that "[I] was not a customer and [he was] doing me a favor." I found his comment ill placed as I had purchased Specialized S-Works shoes and a helmet from his shop. Over the years I have made small purchases. I found all interactions with Kevin to be unpleasant. As a business owner, he does not understand it is a satisfied customer that makes a successful business. My last experience with Kevin/Outspokin Bikes ended for good after receiving my new frame. He is one ungrateful business owner and I highly suggest to stay away from the his shop. There are other bike shops that will value your business and shine through when it comes to a warranty issue.

This place is the worst you can purchase at. After purchasing a Specialized Hardrock I noticed evidence of previous use. Not minor scuffs that could have occured during shipping but good eviedence of previous riding. After I return to the shop the sales person explains that he could not take the bike back but he could give me some new pedals and grips. When I disagree, some arrogant person in the back barges out and commences to scream at me and tell me how ridiculous this is on my part, with other customers in the store! How he won't take the bike back and how I probably did it on a test ride. It never left the store when I was there previously. The salesman was on the right track, a simple explanation and solution could have been found, but that person has forced me to reverse charges and think about it twice before I purchase a Specialized bike again. Shame, I was told they were very good bikes.

They sell some very nice stuff. And their prices are pretty good. Sure, it would be nice to see some recumbents, but they don't really have the space. The staff seem to be serious cyclists and bike professionals. And best of all, they are very involved in the community. The store sponsors important events and supports the local advocacy group, Bike Cherokee.

Out Spokin has a tremendous bike and clothing selection for high end quality. Unfortunately the staff has taken on the owners personality, dont expect a smiling face when you come through the doors of this business, they will not greet you, they will not look up and acknowledge a customer. I support all businesses in the small town of Woodstock because I believe in keeping the community funded with local residents. I ride mountain and road bikes with a local group of riders consisting of over 100 people, the verdict is out and Out Spokin has tarnished relationships throughout the community. There are 2 good bike stores within a 10 mile radius willing to help you if you purchase a $1.00 energy bar or a $5000 new ride, they appreciate your hard earned dollars unlike the staff of Out Spokin. I want them to succeed but in times like these people buy from people and have a choice....

I'll start with the one downside I experienced with Out Spokin'. No willingness to negotiate on price. Not uncommon from local bike shops, as prices are mandated by manufacturers, but a little flexibility when buying a high end bike would be nice. Other than that, I encountered excellent service working with Kevin and will continue to do business with him in the future. Wanted to order a bike that was not in-stock at any local shop, and he had the bike there in just a couple days. Service department was quite helpful in answering questions related to components, and seemed very knowledgeable. In my opinion, the staff is friendly and helpful. I only wish they kept longer hours during the week!

It's frustrating to go in this shop as it seems like it has all of the typical roadie snobbiness. Kind of expecting more after they sponsored a local adventure racing team and were located in Woodstock.

Very professional and knowledgeable about the bikes they are selling. They are actively involved in the community and are bikers themselves. So often people aren't don't get it. They have great mechanics who know what they are doing and won't sell you some component you don't need. I would buy bikes from without thinking twice.

I am lucky to have such a great bike shop in my hometown. These guys are pro mechanics and serious cyclists, and will take the time to help you find the bike that is right for you.

I took 3 bicycles here for a "tune-up". After picking them up, I quickly realized that Out Spokin had done nothing more than put air in tires, and charged me $200. They didn't even have the professional courtesy to replace the valve caps. Furthermore, the employees acted as if they were doing me a favor. Don't waste your money!!
