Just had John cut my dog's nails and trim her facial hairs. It was not a busy morning, and he took the time to do a little extra to make her look good, which I really appreciate. I hid from them, not wanting to make my pup more anxious, and I watched them. He was quick and treated her fine. I'll admit that I don't go to the store that often, but it's been more than 5 times, and I've always found the employees to be courteous. I'm a new pet owner, so maybe things have changed since the previous poor ratings. I'm writing this to let others know that the previous groomer is gone, and an experienced guy named John is here!

About 6 months or so ago my mother & I stopped by Petco to find something, a nail trimmer I think. As we were walking out we witnessed a chubby young woman grooming a small dog and literally smack the dog & jerk it around. We yelled for her to stop and she looked like a reindeer caught in the headlights. The manager was standing right at the registers talking to another employee and we told him what we had seen. He did nothing about it, chuckled and said "I'll watch her." She should have been fired on the spot! How many other dogs were subject to her abuse? Never again will I go to a Petco! Please for the life of me, do NOT shop there or even consider leaving your dogs with these animal abusers!!

So I have been going to petco to get my Three Poodles groomed for a 1 1/2. Since the Groomer that I have always used (BTW Is the Best) moved and I lost contact with her, I didn't know what to do. I decided to give Petco a shot to groom my babies without their usual groomer present. I did, and I regret it to this day. They butchered them! they made them looked worse then what they did when they went in. I was horrified. I will never use Petco nor will I use either Groomer again. Thank God I found their groomer across the street at Puppy's Palace. I am so Happy. She is the Best.

I have been going to petco for almost 2 years and I have been pleased every time that I have been there. Mainly because of my Wonderful Groomer, but since she left I didn't know where to take my baby. I received a free groom in mail so I decided to try one of the other groomers there out. I told the MALE Groomer there exactly what I wanted, he seemed to understand so I left. I came back about 5 1/2 hours later to find a different dog standing infront of me. They claimed she was my dog. I told them I had a Bichon not a poodle. They insisted to tell me that that was what I wanted. I said I wanted a Bichon Breed Cut Not A Poodle Cut. They butchered her face done to the skin, there was no resemablence to a Bichon left. I was sickened. I just had a death in the family, I couldn't recognize my own dog because of the awful job done to her. I left really upset and crying uncontrollably. They didn't even apologize or try to make it right. I took her home and no one in the family recongized her. They wanted to know if I got a new dog. It made me even more upset. How in the world could they do this to a poor little animal, when they had the exact instructions. I finally found her Orginal groomer, who herself was in tears when she seen her. I will never go back to Petco again.

I visited at 1pm on a Saturday. There was one cashier, and one person stocking items on the floor. I went to get fish, but every single fish tank was blocked from view by large wooden flaps intended to be opened for feeding. No one was available to help me with the fish. I was in the store for half an hour and couldn't get anyone to allow me to see the fish they had in stock. According to the signs, it looks like they have a decent variety, but I never got to see them. The visit was a waste of time, and the prices on many of the fish were two to six times the price I've seen at other stores.
