The restaurant took my reservation for a private corporate dinner party in one of their small private diningrooms. Invitations were sent out. The number of guests attending was basically the same as promised in the contract. The day before the event, they told me that in order for my dinner to remain private, they would need to charge me their estimated revenue dollars (before tax and gratuity!) for that room regardless of the fact that our event was costing much less. This was never mentioned to me earlier nor was it in the contract. They remained hard-nosed about it and I had no choice but to comply. Needless to say, they won't be getting our business again.
