You would think that any restaurant on Prospect in La Jolla would have inflated prices and tourist-quality food. We found this restaurant's service excellent. It was nice to have an native Milanese waiter for my dad to speak Italian with. Pasquale is authentic Italian. We started with Bruschetta Pomodoro that was delectable! I had the Tortellini that was mouth-watering. My dad enjoyed his lasagna immensely. He's not easy to please. Having travelled the world and being from Italy, he knows good food. I read a review on this restaurant somewhere else and the person complained about slow service. Well, in nice restaurants its SUPPOSED to be a slower pace. Elegant eating is not rushed. It is paced with several courses and allows for the dinner to be an eating event. Wine is to be sipped and people enjoy each others company. If you want fast, there is a Jack in the Box down the street.
