This place used to have the best biscuit you could ever put in your mouth. A month or two back they changed. Used to be large and fluffy. Now they are dense and terrible. I though the first time they changed was aberrational. I went back a few weeks later, and they are still terrible. Pillsbury frozen biscuits are way better than what they are turning out no. Too bad, I really used to love this place. Maybe Bob is just worn out?

I live nearby, so I pop over occasionally. It's often quite crowded, particularly with senior citizens. I've just had the breakfast basics there, but service is good -- no one goes out of their way, however. I think it compares favorably with the Thumbs Up diner ... I usually am pretty ambivalent between the two.

Pastries A Go Go is the best! Their breakfast and lunch are great, but I really can't recommend them strongly enough for wedding and special occasion cakes. Bob did our wedding cakes, and they were gorgeous. More importantly, they were delicious; we still hear about them from our friends. Bob listened to exactly what we wanted and created two custom recipes. The cakes were so high-quality - rich, light, moist and delicious - and we paid much less than we would have anywhere else in town. Recently, Bob baked a "replica" cake for our first anniversary. It was a custom job, with special ingredients they don't normally sell - and he did it for $16. Go here for wedding cakes, birthdays, anniversaries, and you won't be disappointed.

This is my favorite breakfast place in Decatur. The food is great, the service is friendly and the price is right. I bring all my out of town guests here for a comfortable, relaxed breakfast. The portions are huge!

As a long time biscuit cook searching for the best recipes, I just gave up over these biscuits..I could never make these. They are pretty much the best biscuits ever..better than the best cook in the local methodist church where I grew up and she had a Phd in Home EC!! If you love biscuits, come here.

I've eaten at Pastries several times and each time I left disappointed. Not only did the prices increase, but the service decreased (after they moved to the new location). I found a bug walking around in my salad and the waitress and manager barely apologized and didn't even comp my meal.
