I'm posting a copy of what I just sent to PSE. I hate them, hate them, hate them. They are nothing but scam artists, and I wish we had never used them in the first place. Just had our last "service call" from PSE. No more. PSE installed our air conditioning unit nine years ago. One year after that, the unit quit working. PSE gave us a "deal" (another joke) on fixing it. After a routine "service call" a year or so ago from PSE, I noticed water leaking from the ceiling. Turns out the water was leaking because the hoses or pipes (installed by PSE) were not connected properly. PSE send another tech out to fix, LOL, but never reimbursed us for the damage to our ceiling. Against my wishes and better judgement, the husband "took advantage" (I'm a regular comedian today) of the $69 service special. What did he get for this $69, you ask? An attempt to upsell us several pounds of freon because we're low. No actual work other than spraying the outside unit with a garden hose took place. I read this: An AC doesn't "use up" refrigerant. So you should never need to recharge your air conditioner with more Freon -- unless there's a leak. I asked my husband if the guy discussed fixing a leak. He told me the guy said he would have to fill up with freon (minimum five pounds) to see if there even was a leak.

I want everyone who is smart enough to read reviews to STAY AWAY from this company. They were very polite on the phone but that's where anything good ends. The technician shows up and hooks up his guages and advises that the Freon is low. He then tells me that they charge $294.00 per pound. I told him that he was absolutely insane and that he could leave. I am fully aware of the EPA restrictions on R22 Freon. However I am also aware of the current retail price. I called Lawson Heating and Air in Gainesville and they quoted $75.00 per pound. Another was at 100 dollars per pound. The technician then asked me how I would like to pay for the $99.00 service fee. I asked him to get his boss on the phone but he refused. I told him to have his owner call me and I would discuss the fee with him. No call. I did however get an invoice today from the Coward. I will be paying his invoice but only after posting this review everywhere I can. I refuse to pay a 1000% mark up for anything. Be aware that this business is BAD. Do your research better than I did.

Our first mistake was responding to the Service Expert flier we received by mail. It touted a "100% Satisfaction Guarantee." Well, my husband and I are 100% dissatisfied, and the company doesn't care. The technician who came out to service our unit was polite, and things seemed good. We thought we would use the company to replace our outdated units later this fall. 2 weeks later, 1 unit isn't working, and the company isn't interested in standing behind its guarantee. We called and requested that they waive the service fee to come back and look at the unit, and the customer service representative agreed, stating that the technician would be at our house around 9:00 pm or would call to let us know that he would be later. The technician called around 8:30 pm to say that he "comes when he wants" and wasn't coming around 9:00 pm, in addition to saying that he "didn't have time" to call and confirm that the service fee had been waived. After hanging up on me, he called a few minutes ago and left a strange voicemail about how what we said "was not true." His name is Rick, and he was working "after hours" on 8/14/15. He will never do work in my home. Good riddance, Service Experts.

It's hard to give anyone a "5" rating, but I wanted to take the time to recommend Robby and Peachtree Service Experts. After suddenly discovering a leak that had developed in my upstairs A/C system pipe, I reached out to PSE to see if they could come out that same day to diagnose and repair the problem. Despite the 95 degree weather and busy technician schedule, Robby was able to come over. He arrived later than when the scheduler said he would (9:30pm vs. 7pm) but quickly figured out that there was a clog in my pipe, eliminated the blockage and then sealed the pipe back up. It took awhile for his mobile card swipe and printer to generate a receipt (20 minutes), but I was happy that he was able to fix my A/C unit very quickly and minimize the cost associated with the repair. Thanks Robby for a job well done!

After realizing what crooks these guys are, I had another service company come out to quote--after this company took $99 for a four minute service call that said I needed an $800 motor. Guess what???? I almost paid it. But fortunately, an honest repairman took the motor off, shook it and out came two dead birds. The heater runs like new and it cost me $50.00. SHAME ON YOU, SERVICE EXPERTS. Take the "expert" out of your name.

Showed up and told me my control board was bad. Quoted me $632.00, when I told him that seemed high the price changed to $520. I was cold and needed heat. Amazing how price could change in less than 5 minutes by over $100. A friend who is in the business told me it should have been less than $350 to fix. Unfortunately he was out of town and I was cold. This company use to be good. They grew by acquiring companies and are crooks now.

Technician came out and performed regular maintenance on A/C. That night I noticed it was warmer in the house than it usually is. The next day I noticed the A/C was not working. Called Service Experts and the same technician came out. I explained the proplem and his reply was "I didn't do anything wrong". He replaced the fan for several hundred $$$$. I agreed to the repair because I felt I had no other option. I have used this company for over twenty years and have noticed that the service had become hit or miss. Depends on who you get to come out to your house. Well, my contract expires in March, 2013 and I will be finding me another company to perform my heating and air maintenance.

The HVAC until was replaced in a house that we now have as a rental by then Valentine. Service was great, and even Peachtree Service Experts were good, UNTIL we moved and now have this as a rental unit. They refuse to call our Property Manager to schedule service, refuse to change the contact phone numbers on this property, even though we have called a minimum of 6 times to get this to correct this. Not sure if I really trust that they will do what they say they will, if they can't do something as simple as changing a contact phone number so that we can keep this unit serviced. We had to call at least 3 times just to get them to send us a invoice to pay for the Service Agreement - most companies are more than happy to send you an invoice the first time you call.

This company claims 24X7, which is misrepresentation. I have spend a half of Sunday trying to get their help. They have now a calling service in PA, which cannot reach anybody in a local office. I spent four hours waiting until finally a calling center representative proposed to re-schedule service. In Monday I spent 6 hours trying to find any manager, and nobody contacted me

I called Service Experts (formerly Peachtree Service Experts) to schedule a service call to fix my Air Conditioning unit. Both times I called speaking to two different reps, they said 2-4pm was available, so the second time I called I booked this time. Then, with only 24 minutes remaining before 4pm, they called and said a technician would not be able to come out until the hours of 6-8pm! Result: A wasted Saturday afternoon for my family and me. This is my first experience with Service Experts, and probably my last.

I'm late in posting this, but feel the need to publish my bad experience. Late winter this year the furnace stopped working and a service tech want sent our under our service agreement. He quickly stated the thermostat and furnace motor was broken and recommended a new system over spending close to $1000 for repairs. I had a friend of a friend HVAC tech check it out and it was only a $43 part that needed to be replaced. Apparently, the technicians are incentivised to sell parts and systems. Peachtree Heating and Air has lost all integrity since they were purchased by Service Experts.

The service provided by Peachtree Service Experts, now known as Service Experts is excellent in every way. The technician, Mr. Roger Peak, was prompt, professional, efficient and helpful during the servicing of my air conditioner during the summer, and now in the winter in providing excellent service to my furnace. I would highly recommend Peachtree Service Experts, now know as Service Experts.
