A friend recommended PEASANT bistro to me. I had never heard of PEASANT bistro before even though the owner was formally a part of the the Pleasant Peasant Group and Mick's. I am a self-proclaimed foodie of sorts and find myself readily perusing the critics suggestions just like everyone else. However, I relish finding and supporting the local, not yet discovered restaurant treasures before the crowds do so we decided to give it a try. The food was nothing short of wonderful! We had Mussels Au Nage to start. For main course my friend had the striped bass and I had the braised short ribs. Everything was so delicious. The staff were all so warm and friendly provided excellent service. The entire restaurant was beautiful! I can't stop thinking about those mussels so I am looking forward to going back again for the $15 all-can-eat mussels on Monday's!

Peasant Bistro is the newest addition to the Peasant family. You may be familiar with the Pleasant Peasant and Mick's downtown. Peasant Bistro has similar food, a great location overlooking Centennial Olympic Park, and excellent service. I'm not sure I'd rank this as one of my favorite restaurants in the city, but it's definitely above average. The scallops and risotto entree was delicious!
