Being new to the area, our neighbors talked about this place. They decided one night to treat us to burgers and beer. Glad we went, a experience. We have been back several times since.

Who would have thought it was even possible to get a beer and a burger for $5!!! Seriously, I challenge anyone to spend more than $25 on dinner for 2! Cravable burgers. $5 pitchers of beer. A great jukebox. And the people watching is just plain awesome!
Don't miss the fried pickles! The Penguin is one of the few places in Charlotte that truly reflects its diversity. Bankers eat next to tattooed hipsters, who eat next to stay-at-home mommies with kids. Everyone is welcome, the prices are dirt cheap and the food will fill you up and then some.
Great staff, location and best diner food! The Penguin has been voted for best jukebox in Charlotte for a few years now. I always take my out of town guests to the Penguin.
The Penguin is a must see in Charlotte. Located in Plaza Midwood, the Penguin is one of those insitutions that has been good enough to survive the rise, fall and rebirth of the area around. Great burgers and service!

The Penquin is one of those must see places. Everyone comes to the Penquin, so you never know who will be there. Be warned it's not a very big place, so you will usually have a wait for a table. Be sure to wait, because it is worth it.

Not only is the food amazing at Penguin, they have the best jukebox in 3 states, the coolest staff and great prices. Whether you are hanging with friends or bringing the family, Penguin fits the bill and fills you well.
