We adopted a dog from these folks. We drove from Vegas to get a dog we had decided to buy. They were bringing him to an adoption event on a Sunday. The lady, Sam told us they would be at the PetSmart at 11 am. So we drove the four hours and got there at 11 just to find out the dogs don't get there until noon. Fine, whatever. We get the dog and take him home. Turns out the dog has several health issues and has cost us over $3000 in the eight days we have owned him. Got it, we took a gamble with a shelter dog and he was expensive. So, we then attempted to get ahold of the staff to speak about options we have because they make you sign a contract stating if you can not take care of the dog you must return it to their shelter... Roger, I've called 6 times and sent text messages volunteers to include the shelter coordinator and have received no response. I just wanted everyone to be aware of the lack of transparency and information. .... Sorry for the break i just received back from the coordinator who has told me "to be a responsible dog owner. That they do not exchange pets simply because the owner doesn't want to take it to the vet." If you adopt from them I hope your experience is better than mine. This was my third adoption and my worst experience.

I have a German Shepherd/Lab Mix Puppy. She's had her nails trimmed here before and they used to charge $9 to cut and $2 to round the edges. Last time I went in, I asked to confirm the $11 price and the lady behind the counter told me yes, that was correct. Then she changed her mind and said that she was wrong and it was $9 plus $11 to round them!!! $21 to cut and round the edges of my dogs nails?! She said it was because they were long but it was only a month ago that we had them trimmed! I said no way to the rounding, and at that point, hesitantly only had them cut for the $9. I was so upset I didn't even leave a tip. My problem is...and lets think about this for a minute, after I pay the $9 to get them cut, they are no longer "long" anymore. So how can they then blame my dogs nails being long for an extra charge of $11 to have them rounded?? Sounds like a scam to me! I'm not happy and the manager's reply was that it was just too bad, its just the way it is when I spoke with her. I don't know what is going on, the people that worked there used to be so nice and helpful and with the way the ecomony is, you would think that they wouldn't let the customer service slide!! I will no longer be taking my pet here to be groomed and will be warning everyone I know with animals in Surprise.

Love the employees on the day-shift. This place is always stocked, and even gave me a $5 gift card when they found out they don't carry a certain product I was looking for. Go here all the time.
