Terrible experience. Had LASIK with Dr, Kozarsky in 2015 and complications have ruined my life. Dr. K did not fully inform me of the risks (I asked multiple times). He said, "There are none." Not true. Everyday (20 months...) I suffer with chronic dry eye, pain, burning, headaches, light sensitivity, misery, depression, suicidal ideation. 25 visits he could not fix it. He blames my other medications. I stopped them all! Did not help. I AM ON 7 Eye Drops. Thank you Dr. K. I have spent 12K on surgery and aftercare. No end in sight. No cure. I am only 40. He terminated me as a patient after I went public. I have to put in eye drops every 15 min. How does this sound to you? Avoid this doctor. Avoid LASIK. Research all of the risks. 50% of patients get dry eye. Dr. K did not tell me this so I am telling you. LASIK is not safe. Dr. Morris Waxler (approved it with the FDA) has now come out saying it is unsafe and he was misled on the research. Keep your glasses. Keep your life. He took mine. Learn from my mistake. There is no cure for dry eye. There is no relief. The end game is blindness.

I was very nervous when I found out my regular doctor couldn't, for various reasons, do my surgery. But Dr Hamilton and his staff absolutely took care of me. At my initial examination, Dr Hamilton told me that, because of the size/shape of my eyes and my high prescription I was not an ideal candidate for this surgery. He said he could help me, but that he could not correct my entire prescription. I was a bit disappointed about this, so the doctor asked that I take my time considering whether or not I wanted to proceed. He was very clear that he wanted ME to make the choice with ALL the facts; He wanted me to be comfortable. My trust in him grew drastically when I realized how much I appreciated him giving me space to do what's best for me. After some pondering and discussion with my boyfriend, I called the office to schedule my surgery. Dr Hamilton and I both agreed that we would go ahead with the surgery with a goal of a small prescription still being needed. When I had some concerns after the surgery, the doctor took extra time in examination and discussion (including coming in on a Saturday to see me!) to make sure I was at ease and healing properly. My favorite part is that I actually see better than I expected. I can even drive without glasses now! I've needed glasses since I was 11 and used to fall down stairs (literally) without my glasses, so Dr Hamilton gave me a real gift with my vision :-)
I went to Piedmont in September of 2011 walking into walls without my glasses, and walked out of the building seeing 20/15!! Best decision I ever made! Dr.Hamilton was amazing, he talked me through the entire process and the staff were very caring and considerate!!
I have worked with Dr Kozarsky and Dr Hamilton off and of for 18 years. Dr Hamilton recently preformed Lasik on my 24 year old son and he was 20/15 both eyes the next day, and is still thrilled with the result! The are teh best surgeons you could hope for if you are looking for Lasik !
About 5 years ago, I was growing tired of my contact lenses and seriously considering LASIK surgery. I am a private pilot, and many of my pilot buddies encouraged me to go see Dr. Kozarsky at Piedmont Better Vision. After a very extensive exam Dr. K explained to me that I was a pretty good candidate for LASIK, but not an excellent candidate. He actually declined to perform surgery on me because there was a chance that results would not be 100% perfect for my lifestyle and activities. I was blown away by his honesty and commitment to the highest level of patient care. Most LASIK providers would have gone ahead and taken my money and performed the surgery. I still wear contacts and continue to see Dr. K for my vision care because he is absolutely the best. Thanks Dr. K and PBV!

My sister and I had lasik completed by Dr. Kozarsky and his fantastic team. The experience was great! Everyone we dealt with was professional and pleasant. The environment was perfectly clean and comfortable. Prior to going through the surgery myself I was told at length how this was the best group of surgeons in the southeast and I have no doubt that it is correct. Thank you so much for my vision!!

Please be very wary of getting any procedure done here. I was told I was a perfect candidate for the procedure and now suffer from debilitating glare and halos. Told me there was nothing they could do and would not offer any rehab. Outright lied about chart data and outcome expectations - and yes- had the custom wavefront intralase.

Choosing Dr. K with Piedmont Better Vision for my Lasik treatment was the best decision I have ever made! The procedure was AMAZING, simple, painless, and took almost no time! The recovery period was 24 hours, and I was able to see perfectly for the first time in my entire life. This office is wonderful and very client orientated. Do yourself a favor and just go in for a consultancy. You won't regret it!

I had worn contacts for 40+ years and literally blind without lenses or glasses. When I had to start wearing reading glasses over my contacts, I decided to investigate lasik eye surgery. Previously, my brother and his wife had excellent lasik results with Dr. Alan Kozarsky so I had a consultation with him. I was happy to know that he could perform the "easy" laser surgery since my corneas were still good. (My brother and his wife had the more complicated surgery due to thinner corneas.....but with the same excellent results.) My surgery was at 3pm on a Friday and I could see perfectly on Saturday morning at 8am. Truly amazing.... The actual surgery was very interesting and surprisingly fast. He corrected one eye for distance viewing and one for reading and it has been wonderful. I highly recommend him because, quite honestly, he changed my life. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. So if you are considering lasik, please schedule a consultation with Dr. K. He truly is the best!

After 10 years of other doctors telling me I would have to wear contacts for the rest of my life, I now see 20/20 even in the middle of the night. Thanks to Doctor Stephen Hamilton, my dreams came true. From the very beginning, he explained all my option and recommended the procedure. He explained how it would work, how I would feel and answered any and ALL the questions I had. He was very personable and the relaxed atmosphere settled my nerves. He and his WHOLE staff could not have been any more hospitable. I would recommend Dr. Hamilton and the Piedmont Better Vision to anyone that would like to increase the quality of their life
