A native Georgian, Pete Pike became interested in the nursery business in the mid-1950s. He started his business with three employees and a 200 ft. by 200 ft. location on Highway 41 in Marietta, Georgia. Times were so hard in those days that he and his employees borrowed water and restroom facilities from the gas station next door. Today, Pike Nurseries is comprised of 400 employees in the peak seasons at 15 retail stores in Atlanta and Charlotte, a landscape installation/design service and a.. planting service.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
for about the same service I can go to Home Depot (price wise they are better) what makes it here is the GREAT selection... weirdly their bulb packages have NO info on them (for a novice like me) yet the bulb packages at Home Depot have ALL the info I need (do I need to dig this bulb up yearly? how deep to plant, sun needs, etc)

I would not recommend the 2955 Holcomb Bridge Road location of Pikes. When we attempted to return a sick plant in a broken planter, the money-back guarantee and our satisfaction was not their goal. We had argue with the cashier first, then her supervisor, before calling the manager who finally granted an exchange, but wasn't happy. With their collective bad attitude, after 20 years of loyal shopping, I won't shop there again. Try Home Depot, just down the road. They are very friendly and helpful.
