I bought a flying squirrel from Plano Pets approximately 7 months ago. I was promised that it was a "baby female" squirrel, as I requested, so the animal would be more susceptible to bonding with me. I found out about 1 month later that the squirrel was neither a baby nor a female. Upon bringing this to the attention of the store, I was informed that they would "get a new one for me". I told the store personnel that I did not wish to give back the originally purchased squirrel as it had already become "part of the family". They assured me that this would not be an issue. It has now been 7 months and I have not gotten my new squirrel. I called the store today only to be told that the squirrel they would be supplying me was not only still unavailable, but was now going to be at my expense, not the store's. I spoke with the purported owner/manager of the store, Chip, only to be insulted and degraded. He accused me of lying and said that he refused to hold up his end of the bargain. I was very surprised by the unprofessional way the conversation was handled and was hurt by the accusations he made that I was a liar. I simply want what was promised to me: a baby female flying squirrel. I have invested over $250 into this situation only to be disappointed and insulted.
