This clinic has really gone downhill over the last several years. I have become incredibly disappointed in the quality of care and treatment that they provide. The staff aren't very professional or people friendly. They have been so rude to us on several occasions. The doctor wouldn't even make eye contact with me during my dog's last appointment. The prices for treatments, teeth cleanings, etc. are always way overpriced. I recently decided to try a new vet in west Frisco (even though I live in East Frisco) because I had finally had enough of this clinic, and I am so glad that I did. The difference in service and care was unbelievable. I definitely won't ever be back to Plantation Pet Health Center.

We've used Dr. Martin for almost 10 years. He treated our beloved Dachshund for years before she passed away at the age of 17. He now treats our Yorkie. I've always found the staff helpful, communication good and everyone very caring about my dogs. I'm sorry about the person who lost their beagle, they must have been devastated, but my dogs have had their teeth cleaned many times by Dr. Martin, as well as having other minor surgeries, and they have always come through the surgeries just fine. I'm sure that just like human surgeries, there is always a chance that the animal might not come out of the anesthesia, even doing bloodwork can't guarantee that. You just hope that it gives them a chance to find things that might crop up or cause problems under anesthesia. We love Dr. Martin and his staff and will continue to be loyal customers.

About a year ago my family boarded our beagle, Maggie, for about a week when we went on vacation. On the day we were supposed to pick her up we planned on having her teeth cleaned. The vet recommended for Maggie to go under during the procedure and that it was a very safe thing to do. We even had the precautionary measure of having her blood work done prior so that there was much less of a chance of having problems. We got a call later that day from one of the vet assistants that Maggie never woke back up after the procedure. Maggie was dead because a cosmetic procedure turned into a life or death situation. We then learned, about a week later, that a close family friend also lost her beloved dog because of the same procedure done by the same vet. We now have a dog that sleeps in Maggie's bed and plays with Maggie's toys, but by now means did he replace Maggie, our loving little beagle. Maggie was only 3 years old. I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

Dr. Martin is our chinchilla Pouf's veterinarian. I have been very impressed with his knowledge, the staff's ability to provide helpful literature, and the care Pouf has received. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, and she always receives the best care here. We are glad we found Plantation Pet Health Center when we first got Pouf a year ago. They also provide veterinary services to more "normal" animals.
