Greg Rubio at PlumbGenie is a true Master Plumber. After the initial "test run", which was replacing a leaking ice maker valve and clearing a drain line that some contractors stuffed full of paper towels, we knew this would be our new plumber. Since then we have several jobs done, from clearing clogged drains, replacing whole house pressure reducing valves (PRV) & water heater pressure relief valves, to the latest, large gas conversion job, I have been thoroughly impressed and satisfied with his work and would recommend him to family, friends, and strangers! Prompt response. Answers calls. Shows up on time and finishes within the expected time frame.
Gas Conversion job: After the gas company installed a meter at the house, we called him to convert our house from liquid propane over to natural gas. No more propane tank, no more waiting on deliveries. He replaced our sealed burner water heater and ran additional gas lines to the laundry and the kitchen stove. This was a 1.5 day job, but everything was done professionally and clean.

THE GOOD - I have a friend in the plumbing business, so I wanted to try them for my next issue... the initial visit required parts. THE BAD - After a week to receive the parts, they scheduled the job, came out, and still had the wrong parts! They went to the local hardware store, decided to do another job while they were out (wha??), then back to my house where they fixed one issue, but couldn't fix the other due to lack of parts. THE UGLY - Two weeks later, the one toilet they fixed started leaking again! I reviewed another plumber positively on this site, but when I called needing help, they said it would be a week before they could get to my house! THE HERO - I understand being busy, so I saw a positive review for Greg Rubio @ PlumbGenie and called him. He came to my house, assessed the situation, immediately got the correct parts, FIXED the leaking toilet, FIXED another toilet that also had started leaking, all in the span of a couple hours! Left my bathrooms clean and working. Prices were in line with other plumbers if not a little lower. Great job, thanks for the professionalism Greg. Job well done!

I had been searching online for a quality plumber who had reasonable rates when a friend of mine referred me to Greg. I am so glad I decided to call him! He was extremely friendly and professional and didn't charge me an arm and a leg to do the job! If you have any plumbing needs I would definitely recommend calling plumbgenie!

I've used Greg for several plumbing projects. He replaced galvanized pipes in my rental house with copper (which fixed my dirty water problem), added a laundry hookup on the main floor, and replaced a toilet with a new low flow fixture. At my personal house he repaired/recessed gas connections for my new stove. He was fair and reasonable, and he did a great job. I didn't have to baby sit his work. Everything works great (3 years later), and I've had no problems. He did what he said he would do and a little extra.

Though their rates are decent, their customer service is horrible. They don't return calls promptly, miss appointment times, etc. It's very difficult to get a hold of them.

The first time I called Greg, I was lucky: I found his number in a desperate and random online search. He came home, solved the problem and saved my life. The second time, I was smart: I called him again. This was yesterday. I rent an old house in East Atlanta and every now and then I have some plumbing hiccup which, for Greg Rubio, means absolutely nothing. Or at least he managed to proved that twice. Bathtub, shower, sink, toilet, kitchen, bathroom, you name it. Greg is experienced, skilled, serious and won't budge easily when it comes to a plumbing challenge. He will also look for the most convenient solution both for your home and your pocket. I never wrote a review before but this time I felt I was helping a hard-working man that will never say no to work. I wish there were more businesses like this one.

We have used Rubio & Sons 3 times over the past year for various projects at our home. I can't find enough words to describe Greg! He's friendly, professional and prompt to say the least. Also, his low prices and high quality work gives you way more "bang for your buck". This is a great company to do business with. We will never use another plumber!

I was having problems with my water heater dripping water on the floor. Greg came and took a look at the problem. I knew I needed a new water heater but Greg also diagnosed why my water was failing. Not only did I get the water heater replaced he fixed the problem that was causing it to fail. I had no idea but if I hadn't gotten that fixed I would have had all sorts of more problems down the road with over pressured fixtures. Rubio and Sons went above and beyond what I expected. Price was unbeatable and professionalism was out standing. Its Rubio and Sons from now on. Thanks Greg!

I called Greg when I was getting quotes from the plumbers which advertise on the radio regularly and wanted to get a quote from a local small company too. Our water main had broken and it was one of the coldest days of the winter. I usually would take this on myself but was getting over a bad cold and just didn't have the energy. The big companies had really high quotes, one of them wanted $50 to just come out to quote the job (In fairness I would get it back if I went with them). Greg came out that morning, dug holes at the meter and the house entrance and proceeded to run a temporary main. Both holes filled with freezing ground water and Greg was having to continually bail them out so he could work. By the time he was through it was snowing. He came back later when the yard dried out and buried the pipe. This is a hard working man and very willing to satisfy. His prices are what I would expect and his service is over the top! Thanks Greg!

Greg Rubio did his first job for me immediately after we had the Great Flood of 2009 (September). We had chaos in the basement after 7'-8' of river had come in and destroyed MUCH. He worked in very nasty conditions for us and got our old Water heater out and a new one in with minimal wait. The hot water had never been so welcome. His rates were very fair and he stayed with the job until it was done to my demanding satisfaction. I have already worked with him since - same great quality. Thanks, Greg!

I have found my plumber for all future needs. Greg and John got to the house quickly and when they said they would. They are very friendly and explain everything before they start. They do a good job, and then they stick to the quote they give you, which by the way is probably the best price you'll find in Atlanta. You will not be disappointed if you call Greg Rubio!

This local plumber helped us in a severe time of need (replacing a water heater on a weekend after last years flood - FOR A VERY reasonable price!) They have done 2 more small jobs for us, showing their professionalism and use of quality (not necessarily pricey) parts. I appreciate quality work at a fair price! They always returned calls and showed up when they said they would!
