9-10-09 According to Denise (Corporate Manager) at Prestige Cleaners, their company has elected to conduct business without insurance for damage or loss of customer goods. Thus, consumers are not protected in the event of property damage or loss for services rendered at Prestige Cleaners. I recently encountered a difficult and unacceptable consumer experience with Prestige Cleaners due to damage sustained on a garment during the dry cleaning process. Both the "corporate manager" and owner (Don) refused to compensate me for the incurred damage. Rather, they insisted on repairing the damaged item and fabricating another adornment to replace the missing garment accessory. Although the garment could not be restored to its original condition, both the owner and "corporate manager" continued to refuse to take ownership (monetarily) for the damage and loss. It was only after obtaining legal assistance that Prestige Cleaners agreed to recompense me for the incurred damages. Consumers beware! Due to their lack of insurance and unwillingness to compensate customers for damage and / or loss, you will likely need legal assistance to resolve issues with Prestige Cleaners!
