My wife and I have dined at the local Indian restaurants and have found Priya to be the best one, by far. All of its dishes are authentic and delicious. The spices are just right and there is a great variety. In fact, each time we have gone, the buffet has offered a new selection. The staff are very friendly and the whole place has a warm atmosphere. Agreed that Indian music would be a plus.

There have been a few Indian restaurants at this location in Alpharetta over the years. Each one of them very good in their own right. One of the great things about the new Priya restaurant is that bringing your own beer and wine is not only permitted but encouraged. Luckily a well supplied beer and wine store is conveniently located just across the street. They always carry Taj Mahal which is one of the worlds most unique tasting brews and especially delightful with its native cuisine. Everything at Priya was absolutely divine. They even went to the trouble of preparing some stuffed parantha which was not on the menu in an effort to please the guest. The only concern about this new Indian restaurant is its apparent lack of cleanliness. The pesky gnats detract from a serene meal and a long gray hair was clinging to a water glass as waiter sat it on the table. With the more stringent health code regulations this establishment could find itself closed not due to bad food but to bad hygiene. This would be a shame as Priya is convenient, flavorful, accommodating and very reasonably priced. Just a little cleaning up will help to establish and already superior dining experience. Update: I am happy to announce that after dining at Priya a second time, they have really cleaned up their act. Meal was wonderful as it was last time. The only bad thing was the Kenny G muzak. It really needs some traditional Indian music to enhance the atmosphere.
