There's never a dull moment at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant. The music is pumping, the mood is upbeat and the atmosphere is as stimulating as a big bite of wasabi. RA is the perfect place to cut loose with friends, toss back a few, and enjoy the best sushi the ocean has to offer. They also have a full menu of Pacific-Rim dishes to satisfy any taste. So no matter how you slice it, it's always more fun in the RA.
I have been going to all of the Valley Ra restaurants for years and years. The Mill Avenue Ra is just as great as the others regarding the quality of the fish and the fantastic prices (especially happy hour until 7p.m.), however, this Ra has the best service of any of them. Although the servers appear young, they are on top of it and very professional. The only problem is that this Ra has been infested with small black gnats since it first opened. I called the manager a few years back, and he said that they exterminate but that the gnats come in the back door and they just can't help it. If you avoid sitting toward the back door, it helps, but we have encountered as many as 15 gnats (flying in our face) during one meal. It's still a great place and we still go back.

Okay, I only tried sushi because I was going along with the crowd. Employees keep the place lively but I still can't get with the raw fish. Like the saki.

Being the only sushi place in the mill ave. district really helps RA. This place has a great happy hour with deals on drinks plus cali rolls, edamame, etc. It can have quite a few ASU students due to proximity, but get there early for a good seat.
