I'm trying to be civilized but this was not the best experience. Maybe it's house buying and selling in general. Or maybe it was something else.

Actually, you are incorrect and you have left a completely unreasonable review because you are not properly informed. You are the seller of a property that we inspected and you are not our customer. We did nothing illegal and we work very hard to protect the buyers that hire us to inspect a home for them. I am sure that you are not getting the full story on what occurred and you have never called us to notify us of any problems, but instead you took to the internet. Just so you are aware, there is nothing that an inspector can tell a buyer about a home that is illegal. However, it is illegal for you to fail to disclose an issue to a potential buyer. So it seems that you are upset with us that we allegedly told a buyer about something that you should have disclosed anyway. We do not work for you as the seller, we work for the buyer. If we know something about a home, it would be unethical to not share it with a buyer. I am sure that if you were the buyer, you would want to know everything about the home. We have been in business for 30 years and as one can tell by all of our 5 star reviews, we are an ethical and solid company. Again, it is completely unreasonable to post something like this about a hard working, family owned business. You should do the right thing and remove your post. We wish you the best in your home sale and we would be happy to work for you when you buy a new home.
They do not know anything about inspecting a home. They look for frivolous items instead of major issues.

I am sorry, but we do not have your name anywhere in our system as being a customer of ours. If you are the seller of a property that we inspected for one of our clients, I am sorry you feel this way, but we do our best to work in the best interest of the buyer. If you were on the buying side, you would want us to find everything too.
My agent referred me to RIA and they were great. The communication was excellent from the booking of the inspection and all the way through. They have a great warranty program in place that they offer free with their home inspections. Our inspector was very professional and answered all of our questions. Overall, they did a great job and I would highly recommend.

Very Very BAD Experience! We bought this home 1 year & 9 months ago and after a week we found mold in the house( you can see my previous review) well, at that time they sent us a waiver letter to sign which we did and they returned all the money we paid for inspection, and we waived all the future rights for any problems, UNFORTUNATELY at that time we didn't think there might be more MAJOR PROBLEMS!! Now we found out another serious problem that two of the beams in the house have been rotted this whole time & inspector missed that either!! They basically didn't see anything other than what we could see. They cost me thousands!!!!!!

The mold that is in question was behind wallpaper at the time of inspection and was only uncovered when the home was emptied and wallpaper was removed. None of these areas were visible at the time of inspection. We went back to the home to investigate an area that was claimed to be "black mold" and it was really only roach droppings. A large amount of water staining and leaks were found throughout this home during the inspection that would contribute to a mold problem several months later. Also, mold testing was offered as an additional service, but was declined. Our warranty company will cover any mold that is visible, but will not cover mold that is concealed and/or behind wallpaper. Coverage for any visible mold was offered by our warranty company. Your home was in very poor condition at the time of inspection and a very large amount of issues were noted in the report. Our inspectors cannot see behind walls. The mold(roach droppings) and accused rotten areas were concealed during the inspection that was almost 2 years ago. Your home was in poor condition and had many moisture issues, so it should be assumed that some issues will come to light during renovation, drywall removal, and wall paper removal. We did not miss anything or do anything wrong in this case. We refunded your inspection fee simply because you were unhappy. You expected our inspector to see behind walls and wall paper and he could not do that.
I have been using RIA for years to complete home inspections and their inspectors and staff do a great job. RIA found some HUGE problems on our last home inspection that saved us thousands. Thank you RIA!

RIA Solutions was great to work with. Jason was my inspector and he pointed out EVERY area of opportunity as well as gave me peace of mind in the the updates and condition of the house. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and shared his info - he made sure I knew where things were in the house (water shutoff, main power, etc) and even quizzed me on those to make sure I knew! Almost everything was done online which made it super easy and they were able to accommodate my schedule. The inspection was reasonably priced, very thorough, and I received an electronic version within hours.

RIA is typical of large volume based inspection services. The services are designed to appear diligent but the real purpose is to protect them from lawsuits due to their deep pockets/insurance coverage. This is evident by the zeal to notice any and all issues with a home while failing to provide reasonable solutions for those notations. Combine this practice the fact that a large part of their report is filled with either formal disclaimers, hold harmless language or language that can be used to absolve the company of any liability and you get the point. Unfortunately, the reports being filled with items like lack of doorstops behind doors can create the illusion of toroughness but also create unrealistic expectations for unsophisticated buyers and agents alike. The agent who does not know the difference will use a company like RIA.

Thank you for the feedback, but from your statements it appears that we did our job as we were hired to do. We have been in business for 26 years and we know that our inspectors are some of the most thorough in the industry. This is the first I am hearing of this complaint, so I am not sure if you are an actual customer of RIA or not. You noted that we found any/all issues with the home, but did not provide solutions. Our inspectors work under ASHI standards and do not provide solutions to a problem. The inspector's job is to locate a problem, the agent and customer should then find the proper contractor to make the needed repair. I am very sorry that you are unhappy with our inspection, please call us if you would like to discuss further.
Horrible!!! They missed broken/leaking fixtures, plumbing code violations. I would never use them again. They cost me thousands

Housemasters recommended RIA Solutions. It was a wonderful experience. The inspection was excellent and the inspector (Jason David) is a wonderful guy. Jason was very professional, l got my detailed report within 4 hours. It was a learning experience for me. Money well spent. Jason came back on his day off for re-inspection to make sure the builder fixed all his recommendations before closing. I'll definitely recommend RIA Solutions to all prospective home buyers. Home inspection before buying a house (new or old) is very important and RIA Solutions is the answer.

I came to RAI through Angie's List! So this was my first try for both. I am happy to say that everything went perfectly. My inspection was good. Better than I'd hoped for. My service was schedule between 11 am - 12 noon and I had to leave work to be at home. When I arrived the serviceman was already on site and working. I was very impressed. All that said I am looking forward to being a customer of RAI. I will be ready for my service next year.

I was selling a house and RIA did the inspection for the buyer. I was disappointed that the insulation in the basement was left a mess...not placed back correctly, hanging down, etc. I called and spoke to the owner who personally came out and fixed the insulation, plus apologized profusely. You do not see that kind of customer service anymore! He turned a negative view of his company into a positive view because of his detail to service.

Before we even moved to the South we had RIA working on the house. It was a foreclosure so we needed the exclusion service since there were rodents found upon inspection. RIA has been treating the house for termites and we even have pest control with RIA. We've been very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.

RIA Solutions Home Inspection Services was recommended to us 3 years ago when we were considering purchasing a 100+ year old house in downtown Marietta. We called them and received an excellent comprehensive inspection report from them which accurately described the condition of every part of the house. Knowing that the house had safe electrical wiring and that the house in general was in good condition made the difference in our decision to purchase the house. We were thrilled to find out after we moved in that there were no surprises. The report was very accurate, the inspector was friendly and informative, and the price was very reasonable.

Worked with Doug- he was great! Easy to understand, and did an excellent job investigating any visible signs of previous/present issues in the home. Both the homeowner and buyer (myself) were present- he worked well with both of us and had the documents back to us via email link by the close of the day. Would hire again, as with any person who is human there is the potential for error. We had to mention an item I noticed that he did not pick up on (74% humidity in the wall so it was an issue indeed) and later realized something he said needed fixed did not because with a bit more investigation there was a proper set up. Never be afraid to ask questions! Overall very pleased and their price (with coupon) was in the range of other companies I queried. I have to say it again, Doug was great!
