I switched to another company because this comapany charged so much for trash pick up on top of a fuel charge, on top of the extra bag charge. I cancelled in Feb and my trash can from them is STILL in my driveway. I've called and called and called and am about to charge them a storgae fee for their container!! Do NOT use them!

When I signed up for trash service, they were the only provider offered. They charge $5/month for recycling and then didn't show up for the first 3 weeks to get the recycling (only the trash). They gladly refunded it, but also they don't take a lot of things to recycle that you would expect to be able to recycle (glass). When cancelling service, be careful. They take 2 weeks to pick up the garbage can and will give you a hard time about cancelling if you've already paid thru the quarter.

The service was bad when it was Robertson. Now that it's Republic it's worse, I haven't used the service in over a month and they want to charge me a $35 stop service fee. I just hope I can find another company that services our area.

My wife and I recently moved to the city of Lawrenceville, GA this summer in 2009. We decided that we would use Robertson Sanitation, and thought that it would be a good service because most of the neighbors were using it. We were horrible mistaken, and it is the worst service I have ever paid money for! Our garbage is not picked up every week but every other week. It is extremely embarrassing to see our trash sitting at the bottom of our driveway for over a week. I hope that you will read this review, and not make the mistake we did. I am canceling my service tomorrow, and I don't even care about the 55 dollars I spent for service to December. I just want a service that can actually pick up trash.

Robertson Sanitation now Republic Services, serving Woodstock. I had them for 4 years and just switched to another service. It has now been 2 months and weekly phone calls to get them to pick-up there trash can with no success. On some occasions there phone just rings and rings with no answer or you get a busy signal all day. Also their drivers have gone thru my trash. One took an old answering machine and set it up at their home. I know cause the idiots did not change the message which had my phone number and I started getting their calls at my number. I'm so glad I switched. Just wish I could get rid of that extra trash can.

I have had Robertsons as my waste pickup service for many years. About 5 or 6 years ago, service became pitiful, then got better. In the past year, it has reached its lowest point. I called them many times, they really don't seem to care. So I just cancelled. They didn't seem to care they were losing a long time customer. I would tell anone thinking of becoming a customer or Robertsons (or whatever their new name is), that they take these comments into consideration.

I have used Robertson for years, and have always been satisfied with the service, UNTIL their recent merger with Republic. Now they don't show up, don't follow up on customer complaints, don't answer their phones, and don't return calls. I'm dumping them and changing companies. If I don't get a refund for the unused portion of my quarterly service, I'm filling a complaint with the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Complaints.

They have not picked up our trash in over two weeks and after finally reaching someone (in the accounting department no less, NOT customer service) after TWO DAYS of busy signals - we were basically told there is no guarantee this company will EVER come to pick up our trash - then we were directed to phone numbers (yet again) that nobody answers, are busy signals (even in the middle of the night) or direct you to voicemails with the error "mailbox is full". Can we say took the money and ran? I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

The company changed the service day without notice and didn't provide service for 14 days. Customer service was hard to get. There was no phone waiting system and every time you will get busy tone. They will never respond to the emails or the voice mails left after working hours. I was able to get through to customer service once. They promised to send service truck with in 24 hours but never fulfilled the promise.

1) Robertson Sanitation charges a $25 account set up fee for residential service. Other waste companies do not charge this set up fee. 2) Robertson Sanitation missed two of the first four weeks of pick up service. 3) Robertson Sanitation took over a week to cancel my service. I was told the "computer system is down" for a week. 4) After closing your account, Robertson Sanitation requires you to leave their trash can out on the curb for up to three weeks so they can mozey round and pick it up sometime.

I have used Robertson for 15+ years and the service continues to go downhill. Sometimes my garbage is picked up and then sometimes not. My can is left sitting in the middle of my driveway instead of to the side - causing me having to get out of the car to move it.

This was the best price of all the garbage collection services I called. They also were reasonable on lawn waste pick up and they do not take off a lot of days. Plus, they offer 1 free large item per month. This was a big plus for my rental. This is why I pay the garbage service on my rental.

I would not suggest getting involved with Robertson Sanitation after having to do business with this company for nearly 10 years our HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION is finally going to cancel the contract. They have gone from Bad to Worst over the past 12 to 14 months. Since the first of the year it is more than anyone can take. The customer service dept. says one thing with no follow through. After about the second day you get another story that they have decided not to come out. Why you ask? Because the trash truck driver deems it so. This company needs a boss to let these people know what to do. The employees are running the company unsupervised. Hello Calling Robertson, your company needs you.
