I went to Dr Sarzen based on reviews primarily from this Site. BIG MISTAKE. He has HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE bedside manners. From the minute he sat down with me and was asking questions about my symptoms he seemed annoyed and irritated. I felt like I was going through a police interrogation as opposed to a health analysis. He was annoyed the entire time I was in there and I felt like he did not believe a word I was saying. He recommended me for a Colonoscopy but I will not be going back to him. Who wants an angry, irritated doctor poking around in one of the most sensitive organs in their bodies. Not me. I would not recommend him EVER to anyone. He is seriously lacking in people and customer service skills.

I had an upper endoscopy dilation by DR. Sarzen last Tuesday morning at the Northwoods outpatient surgery center. Everything went as planned. I feel GREAT and could not be happier. Dr. Sarzen and his staff are terrific. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I was early to the apt. and found a long line of people waiting to see the DR. I had to wait one hour to see him after that. When I did see the DR I felt he did not listen and I would not go back

I went to Dr Sarzen after a very bad attack that almost landed me in the ER. My primary physician said that I probably had a virus or was developing an ulcer. OK, I never went to med school, but I knew that wasn't it! Sarzen listened to me and was persistent in his analysis. The procedure to resolve my issue was easy and his staff was great in walking me through every step. If you want to get the kind of medical care we all deserve, give Dr Sarzen a chance.

For the past 1 1/2 years, I've had digestion issues, low energy and have felt extremely aged. I recently had a colonscopy as part of a physical. Dr Sarzen was extremely thorough in his analysis and discovered my root problem (Chrons). His detailed analysis found what many doctors just shrugged off. He was persistent and thorough and for that I'm grateful. With medication I feel 100% better (almost 15 years younger). He is a Dr that is concerned and interested in truly solving patients problems.

I had been dealing with right side abdominal pain for years when I finally got in to see Dr. Sarzen. I didn't really have the textbook symptoms of anything. Several doctors before him had dismissed the pain as either being "all in my head" or "just something you're going to have to deal with." Dr. Sarzen did not. Despite what appeared to be all normal lab work and test results, he was able to finally diagnose me with a case of Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction and treat me for it. Finally, I am pain-free. I'm so thankful that he didn't dismiss my pain just because it wasn't an easy diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Sarzen because he is a great doctor. I also really enjoyed his staff as they are all very friendly and comforting. In addition, I really appreciated never having to wait for very long for my appointments as he is very punctual. He is very direct and I never felt like he was trying to "sell me" on a particular option. He presented me with all the options clearly and gave me all the possible risks and benefits and let me decide. But most importantly, he never dismissed my pain just because he couldn't "see it" as many doctors before him had done. It made a huge difference. I'm feeling so much better now.

I credit Dr.Sarzen with saving my life. He diagnosed my stomach cancer early and referred me to a very excellent surgeon. Both actions save me. Now, my wife and I enjoy each day we have because of him.

I suffered a lifetime with a "born with" condition. Because of Dr. Sarzen's persistence and a recommended surgery, my quality of life is remarkably improved. The best I've felt in 10 yrs. My deepest thanks to a caring doctor.

Throughout the process of having several colonoscopys, Dr Sarzen has illustrated his ability and compassionate bedside manner. This has been especially helpful to my wife when she anxiously waits with me in the recovery room. He is thorough and consolling as he explains the results of the procedure. We both appreciate him.

I cannot express enough how much I trust Dr. Sarzen. When several other doctors could not find out what was wrong with me,I went to him and he ordered a couple of test and within a week found my problem and help me get better. The office staff has always been very helpful and knowledgeable. I have referred several of my family members and friends to him and they all have been very happy with his care. My father in law was very sick and Dr. Sarzen gave me his personal phone number so that I could call him at anytime day or night. I remember one time I had to call him around Christmas, he was at a party but took the time to talk to me and my father in law and to call him in a prescription to the drug store. It takes a very special person to give the kind of one on one care that he gives. Not only I am proud to call Dr. Sarzen my doctor but I am also very proud to call him my friend.

At 40 during an examination he found a mass in my sigmoid colon. Boy, was I scared, but he walked me through the options, recommended a surgeon, and cared for me during my recovery. For 15 years he has been diligent and compassionate in his service (I guess I've had 15 or more colonoscopies in that time). My wife had her first colonoscopy with Dr. Sarzen recently and was well pleased. I also had my dad (81) use Dr. Sarzen. Dad was in the insurance business and is a stickler for details (both physical and financial). He was very pleased. I also have to say he uses enough medication to make sure the procedure is not painful and soon forgotten. As a matter of fact it's the best sleep I get all year. He turned something I was dreading into a pleasant experience. His office staff is also very competent and attentive to the patient, making sure you know all the details for your colonoscopy (medication, location, time of arrival, etc.) and understand them thoroughly. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive (one way) for each of my visits, but I wouldn't feel safe with anyone else. Remember you need a colonoscopy at age 50. I needed one at 40. Don't put it off. Let a doctor who knows how to do the procedure properly and care for you before, during, and after be your physician.

I have had gastro issues for the past 11 months and severe pain and nausea with no results from previous GI. Been to ER 13 times and GI several times with no results. Dr. Sarzen ordered tests that nobody else bothered to do and we had results the next day, gall bladder removed the following day and I finally have relief thanks to Chris Sarzen!!

Dr Sarzen treated my 91 year old Dad before he passed away from esophageal cancer. His caring and patient attitude, creativeness, professionalism, availability, and medical skills greatly improved my Dad's quality of life during his last 6 months.
