Our cakes were so pretty, they did exactly what we wanted!!! Everything was perfect and we have gotten lots of compliments on them even a month after the wedding :-) Thanks so much!!!

The initial meeting was fine, then the second meeting got canceled and no one told us so we showed up and everyone was confused and said they emailed, but no one could find a sent or received email to us. The cake showed up on our wedding day cracked and with one person to bring in two cakes. My wedding coordinator said that in 15 years of doing weddings she had never had to help set up a cake, especially for what we paid. Oh, and the cake was late. It was being delivered and set up in a building with plexiglass walls, meaning all of my guests were watching them set up the cake through the clear walls fo the building while my ceremony was going on. They were an hour and 15 minutes late. I didn't let the cake ruine my day. It was beautiful and that was the only thing about the day I would have changed. Itwas also the only thing that went wrong.

Edet made the cake for my co-workers wedding & did an amazing job. He is doing our wedding cake in March and he always returns my calls. I don't know why people say they try to pretend they are another vendor. We have never had that experience. They were voted #1 cake in Houston's Best in 2010.

very disappointing! after a long meeting about my wedding and grooms cake, he assured me that they cakes would look beautiful. after several ignored emails, i only finally heard from him 10 days before my wedding to say everything is fine. the cakes were hideous! the grooms cake did not look at all like what it was supposed to and the wedding cake was supposed to have 2 different flavors, but only had one, and did not have the right colors or flowers we had discussed. I would not recommend them at all. they are more concerned about trying to appear on tv and news shows than delivering quality wedding cakes. do not trust them with your important day!

This business is trying to mix brides up by playing off the name of the well known company "Who Made the Cake!". They are not associated!!!! Don't let them fool you. They even set up a location near the other baker to confuse people.

The design and taste made all my friends and family ask about the cake. I would refer all my friends to SatinSlices. I have no clue what the previous post was, the team was supper amazing and the service was great.

I was searching for a high end bakery and I also wanted to try a new place, I've only lived on Houston for 3 years and I have used Julies bakery for all my past events. The event was my 9 month old daughters christening so it was a very special moment for my family. I went into satin slices and looked at their cakes and was impressed with all the designs. We did not have a tasting scheduled but the cake connoisseur had some samples there from the day before. I tasted the cake and explain to her that unfortunately I do not eat cake and was not feeling the fluffiness to the cake and she assured me that my cake would be freshly baked and fluffy. At the day of my event my caked arrive and it LOOKED amazing, later that evening we cut the cake and everyone had their slices and the room was quiet. I started asking people about the cake and they were reluctant to tell me the truth but I insisted and everyone stated "THE CAKE LOKED BETTER THAN IT TASTED". I was very upset because a cake is the finishing touches to a great event. I would never refer anyone to have their cake made by SatinSlices. I would rather have taste then appearance.
