I DO NOT recommend Sharian. I had a rug that needed cleaning and was given a quote and scheduled the pick up. Regardless of whether you have the rug cleaned or not you owe $130 for that. Upon pick up I was told that the particular type of rug that I had (Sisal) was not cleanable. During the initial phone conversation I was not asked what type of rug I had. I feel like that's important information to have known before scheduling a pick up obviously because otherwise I would not have scheduled it and therefore not have owed the $130. Just seems like a simple thing that could've easily been avoided with the proper professionalism and consideration. Furthermore, since they had taken the time to come I decided to send another rug to make it worth my money. After two weeks with no word I called to check on the status and was simply told that a message had been left with me to discuss the pricing. I did not receive the message and no action has been taken on the rug since and now will be another matter of weeks before it's returned. I'd like to note that this is honestly the first review I've ever left. I'm not the type of person to do that. In fact, I haven't even complained to the people themselves. I'm going to swallow my pride, pay the money, and take this as a lesson learned.

I took a rug there to be cleaned and have some fringe repaired. two weeks later I get a call that the rug was ready and asked if I wanted the repairs done. I asked how much would the repairs be. I was told that I would get a call back. I finally went to pick up the rug and was told I didn't get a call back because the repair shop people were not in. I guess calling me to tell me that was too much trouble. I expected better service from a company that claims to be this professional. way to sit back on your reputation you never even tried to make it right or even better. I took the rug to S&S Rug Cleaners they gave me a price right there. just as good without the attitude.

I have been bringing my rugs to Sharian since 2005, and have always been impressed with their operation. I have always been greeted by helpful people, and have always liked the job they do on cleaning my rugs. When it comes to rug cleaning in Atlanta their is only one choice and thats Sharian.

Two of the 3 rugs I had cleaned also needed repairs after my daughter's dog had chewed on them. They are good as new now!!!! They were also very responsive to my timeframe getting them cleaned and repaired a week earlier than promised.

Sharian is the best rug establishment by far. The sales staff is helpful and courteous with no high-pressure pitch. The cleaning service is econmical and quick. The location is easily accessible and the staff even assists you with loading and unloading.

I think Sharian did a good job of cleaning my rugs, but the front desk is so incompetent and rude, I'll never go back. I would call to ask when my rugs would be ready (which took longer than they said) to be told they'd have to check and call me back and then they never called back. Twice. They offered to do some minor repairs and left me a voice mail with an estimate, but then when I called to authorize the repairs, I couldn't get anybody on the phone willing to take yes for an answer. I was just told I needed to talk to somebody else, who wasn't available. No, "can I take a message or call you back." Just, she's not available. When I asked, on the phone, to talk to a supervisor, no supervisor was available. That, I believed. If that place were supervised, they wouldn't be letting these rude people have contact with paying customers.

Dear Valued Customer,
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disrespect you received while doing business with our company. I would like the opportunity to rectify the situation and earn back your business. If there is something that I may do for you please let me know. I assure you that all aspects of our business are under constant supervision by a member of the Sharian family. There are always at least two or three members here at any given time. Unfortunately, due to the complex nature of most repairs we often would like the customer to speak directly with our repair department. I am sorry we could not take care of your situation immediately over the phone. My name is Jim Garner I am the General Manager and 4th generation member of the family and would be glad to speak with you in regards to this situation.
I had asked them to pick up a rug for cleaning. They told me they would call the day before pickup and give me a window when they would stop by. I mentioned I worked until 3am and did not want the window any earlier than 12PM. Well the day before pickup they called and told me the window would be between 8 and 10 AM. I told the person I could not do that time period and asked for another time during the day. She told me she would check and get right back with me. She never did and by the time I called her back they were closed for the day. I called at 8am the next morning to find out what they had arranged and was told the pickup was scheduled for another day. Since I had already been waiting 2 weeks for the pickup, I decided to go with another company. I can't comment on their work but the people I spoke to regarding the change in pick up were not friendly nor helpful. My rating is only based on the conversations I had with the employees. However, I have to rate quality & service just to complete this review.

I've used Sharian's a number of times to clean my Oriental rugs and been very happy with their work. I recently had an issue and, while they pretty much made everything right, I felt challenged when I called about the problem. The first thing that happened is the pick up guys disconnected my sectional sofa to get the rug out. I assumed they would connect it when they returned the rug. They put the rug back and started to leave, I asked them to reconnect the sofa, they lifted it up and appeared to do something and left. I assumed they connected it - I later realized they left it disconnected. The other issue from the same visit was that one of the rugs had a distinct sour/mildew odor that wasn't there before the rug was cleaned. I called Sharian's to tell them about what happend and ended up talking to Ritchie. Regarding the sectional sofa - Ritchie told me how difficult they are to put back together and the guys tried and couldn't do it. My thoughts: if you can't put it back together then don't take it apart. Regarding the smelly rug: Ritchie told me they dry the rug completely so it couldn't be mildew and that the guys didn't smell anything when they delivered the rug. He also told me some customers have very sensitive noses and could smell things other people can't smell (I'm definitely not a particular good "smeller"). They recleaned the rug and it's fine now. I felt they made my complaints seem like an issue with me and not the process.

I took a flatweave carpet in for cleaning after it had gotten wet in the recent flooding. What I got back was not the same carpet. I literally didn't recognize it. Not only had the colors been bleached beyond recognition, but the thick, lush weave had somehow been turned into a flimsy, thin rag. Sharian argued that the problem was that the carpet had gotten wet and that they had done the best they could. Even if this were true, they should have told me up front that the cleaning was going to result in serious damage to my carpet. I'm still not convinced it is even the same carpet! Whatever the case, they refused to reimburse me for the cost of the cleaning. I will not be doing business with them again.
