It's a smart decision to take your Subaru to Six Star Service in Decatur. Not only are they as knowlegable as the dealerships, they are also very customer service oriented and offer a considerable cost savings over the dealerships. I drive from Alpharetta but would drive across the state for the considerable value and quality Six Star Service provides. Their lobby is also very comfortable and inviting. Thank you for caring for my baby, guys.

Don't go to the dealership, go to Six Star. They actually care about your car AND your pocketbook. If you are on the fence, take your Subaru (or Mazda) in for an oil change and see the difference between a business that cares if you come back and a business that expects you to come back. Oh yeah, better prices too!

I am so thankful to have a group of professional mechanics and support staff that I can trust to service my 1999 Subaru Forester. They are not inexpensive. However, I have learned you get what you pay for and I believe I get the best! Thanks Justin.

As we Subaru owners are sort of a cult these days, I need to share my good karma review for 6 Star. Dealer service and knowledge but priced like an independent. We have a 2012 and an 2008 Forester and these guys blow the dealers away. Do yourelf a favor and check them out. These cars will last forever if you service them. Six star will separate the necessary from the optional maintenance which is like a breath of fresh air. Did you know that service writers at dealers on commission!!! Yep they are so you are screwed before you even pull in. Merrill in Atlanta!!

Another awesome reason to be a Subaru owner. These guys are 100% trustworthy, which is hard to find in a mechanic, especially being a woman. They are so professional, kind, and accommodating. When you come in, they remember you by name and always greet you with a smile. I have never felt that they were anything but honest in their recommendations. The cost of service is always very fair. I highly recommend this local, community business!!

If you own a Subaru, need any kind of service, or even advice, there is no better place to go than Six Star. The crew there are among the nicest, smartest and responsive folks I have ever met. They have been servicing my 2002 Forester for at least 13 years, and I have never ever had a problem or a service that I did not approve.. They are honest, and listen carefully to their customers needs and wants. I do believe that it is thanks to Six Star that my 16 year old Forester has run as well as it has thanks to Six Star. As it began to show its age, I began to consider a replacement. When I brought my car in for its 120K tune up (reluctantly), the staff found two more serious problems and recommended that I take care of them first, and do the tune up later. That kind of attention and honesty is why I have continued to take my car to Six Star. And quite frankly, I guess I need to get another Subaru...
Instead of 120K maintenance, replaced brake pads and installed new radiator and hoses. ,
Area Decatur, GA
Cost $500 - $999
Date September 2016

New to Atlanta and needed an oil change / tires rotated for my Subaru. So happy I found this group! Professional, friendly, nice waiting area, clear fees, and they were able to recommend a comparable service place for my other car, a Toyota. I will use Six Star Service for all my Subaru needs. Thanks guys!

I just moved to Atlanta about 10 months ago. I purchased a 2010 Subaru Forester XT a couple months back. I was offered free oil changes for life from the dealership...problem was it was a hike to get there. I spoke with Michael over the phone and he gave me an estimate for the oil change, I came in and had a great experience geeking out about Subarus while mine got serviced. Six Star Subaru is a welcome surprise as they are knowledgeable and competitively priced repair shop.

My wife found this shop when looking for a place to get some minor wheel work done on our '11 Forester. She raved about how comfortable she felt there and how much they loved our dog (who she took with her). We later had our 30k-mile service done there and they were very honest, professional, and friendly. Only 4/5 stars on service because like most places, their hours aren't that helpful for a couple full-time working people. But that's expected with a small business, and they do what they can to help you out.

After noticing their ads on our local NPR station, I stopped by to check them out and was impressed enough to take our 2004 Forester XT to get new brakes there. While there, we added an oil change, leak repair, remote battery, etc. and they did all of that and more nice (and free) touches while still getting the car back to us just a few hours later. You deal directly with the owner, who knows a whole lot about these cars. It's good to support a small but thriving business. And brake work includes free pad replacement for life. We have some excellent Subaru dealers in the Atlanta area, but Six Star will do the same job faster, with the same Subaru parts for less money. Since we own 3 Subarus, I'm glad to know about Six Star, where I'll be back next week with another car.

I just moved to Atlanta about a year ago bringing along my beloved 2002 Subaru. I almost sold it before moving here because I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find a good Subaru mechanic in the area. (I came from a town of about 200,000 people with five repair shops devoted solely to Subarus and had been quite spoiled). I was so fortunate to find this place! My head gaskets are leaking and Michael gave me an estimate for the work, which came in at exactly the same amount quoted to me by my shop back home. I'm relocating again for work in a few months, and could put off the head gasket repair for awhile yet, but I've decided to have Six Star Subaru do the work before I leave because I think it's always a challenge to find a dependable, competent, and competitively priced repair shop.

So i bought expensive continental tires from one of the big chains. After 6 months I took the car back to get a tire rotation. Its all part of the deal they charge you up front for rotations and wheel balancing for the life of the tires....great right?.....wrong!! After they rotated the tires they were never the same I had the car back 3-4 times to get them balanced which they could never do. My 08 Sti drove terrible....thats when I took it to 6 Star...they road tested my car balanced the tires correctly and it drives like new again...Highly recommended..Thanks 6 star!!

Justin and his team are the best in Atlanta! These guys have taken care of my '97 Impreza for several years and they are the best in the business. I'm pushing for 200,000 miles and these guys are a huge help! Their pricing is always fair and the job has always been done right the first time. They go above to give you a "heads up" on any other items they may see while working on your car and discuss price vs. value on repair. Great business and I hope to have these guys around for a very long time as I plan to keep a Subaru as my car of choice.

I trust these guys to tell me when something really needs to be fixed vs. something that can wait. Michael, front desk receptionist, knows what he's talking about. Jason, the owner, has show me issues on underside of my car so I could see for myself.

I brought my 2007 Impreza to these guys for head gasket repair, clutch replacement, and a timing belt service. They met and exceeded my expectations by delivering my car to me perfectly repaired, on time, and within budget of the estimate. All the parts used were OEM Subaru except for the better-than-OE multilayer steel head gaskets, and now I'm even getting better fuel economy than I did the first 100,000 miles. I drove from Birmingham, AL to have them work on my car and they were very accommodating of the circumstances. In short I could not be happier, and because the repair was performed with quality and integrity I now have a mechanically perfect car again and won't need to buy a new vehicle for many years to come. What a savings! Thanks so much to six star!! I will be a repeat customer in the future.
