I went into Solar Dimension on Holcomb Bridge today and asked if there were any specials on the spray tans. They sold me a package of three for $60.00. I was happy with the deal. When the girl went to set up my tan, she said I would need to pay an extra $5.00. I told her that I did not know there were upcharges and I was not prepared to pay more money. I asked for a refund. She called her owner and he declined me the refund. I was again shocked that the owner was just interested in keeping my money even if the services didn't meet my needs. WOW! We have so many nice business owner's in our neighborhood and I am friends with a lot of them. I never write reviews but I felt a responsibility to let my neighbors know about this business owner's motivations.

I've been a customer for roughly four months now, and I am really impressed with the changes they've been making. When I first started going to Solar Dimensions, a lot of the staff was unprofessional and pressured me to purchase expensive products I couldn't afford. All of those staff members are gone, and everyone I've encountered over the past month has been very helpful and knowledgeable. Angel in particular provided me with better customer service than I've received in a long time from any business. The facility is clean, I rarely have to wait, and I'm very happy with their products. They're also huge on client education, which I've never experienced at any other tanning salon. I will be a customer for many years to come.

I had a membership here but everytime i would go to the salon it would be closed during regular open business hours this was very upsetting. They would not apply additional days to my package for days they were closed.

This tanning salon is very nice, very clean, and has great equipment but it is highly over priced for the lack of services. The girls who work there were always rude, chatting on their phones, very slow to check people in, and extremely impatient with questions.I started out going to the Brookhaven salon and got trapped into a 6 month agreement that I did not want to be in because the girls were busy gossiping. They told me the wrong thing, they swore up and down that they were giving me a good deal that it was 2 month required agreement and the same price for 6 months. ON TOP OF THAT they charged my account twice for one month and never refunded the charge. So I moved to the Buckhead location and the girls were smarter, and a tad bit more friendly. The lotions in this salon carries also made me break out which has never happened in 6 years of tanning with any kind of other lotion including tingle tans. It was supposedly hypo-allergenic and all natural... yeah right.I would reccomend going to another place simply because I was trapped into going to this place for 4 months and then had to pay for two more when I didn't even step foot in the salon during those two months. Complete rip off.

The customer service at this place was horrible. They are just trying to make as much money as possible and don't care how they do it. They are not in the best interest of the customers. They will not work with you and pretty much tell you that your screwed. Watch out for any membership contracts carefully!!!!

This is for solar dimensions midtown, but I couldn't find it on citysearch so I'm posting it under the buckhead location since you can visit all of their salons. I bought a package of spray on tans in '07 and unfortunately they expire within two years (I had a few left) which I was not super happy about since most tanning salons give you 3 years to use the package. Other than that it's a really nice, very clean salon. The people who work here are nice and helpful, however they will try to upsell you on everything probably because it's their job. I do notice they can be kind of snobby the way they look at you... like their eyes are saying ""eww what are you wearing"" but they're smiling and telling you about tanning at the same time. It's a little weird. For the tanning I would give them a five, but for the rude stares probably 2 stars. But the good thing is I don't care what people think about me so I'd probably go back.
Great tan everytime. I go once a week to maintain a perfect color. Membership is the way to go, it saves you money in the long run. Customer service is the best at the b'head location. I love it!
The expense is outrageous for the 'special' beds, and the bed is NEVER available without a 30 minute wait, if I had that much extra time I'd get out in the REAL sun. Then they rip you off with some 'product' that'll provide great color. And it does - it's a freaking self tanner. Except they don't tell you that, why would you go to a tanning bed and put on a self tanner??? And since they don't tell you in advance guess what you get? STREAKS! NICE. And you can't just call and quit like they say when you sign up - you have to go in and waste MORE of your time. The one and only up side to this place is that it's really clean.
