On October 27, 2011, I took my car in for hydraulics on the doors, a new radio, back up camera, and under car lights. When I got the car back over four months later on March 2, 2012, they couldn't even do the hydraulics, parts of my car were put back together wrong (the trunk hinges were upside down) . My parts were $2,649 which is reasonable. However, they took 4 months and charged $1,425 labor to install a radio, lights and a back up camera! Are you kidding me????

Response from the owner -
We never want an unhappy customer, the reason your car took so long was because of the type of car. A Lamborghini Kit Car made out of a Pontiac Fiero. After much deliberation it was determined that installing "hydraulics" aka linear actuators to open and close the doors would have been a major safety issue. If you needed to exit the car quick it would be almost impossible. Even worse if the car lost power you could become trapped inside the car. The Pontiac Fiero was known for bursting into flames from the over heated engine compartment in the rear. With all the extra added wood and fiberglass from the Lamborghini Kit, this car would burn to the ground in a matter of minutes. The labor charge was very reasonable for the work we did on your car, we had to spend a lot of extra time because it was a Kit Car.
My car stereo was broken. Soundproof put in a new one for $210.43 and it didn't take very long. I am a very happy customer. I think you will be, too.

I wanted to install a JVC Navigation Multimedia receiver, rear view camera, and steering wheel adapter in my 07 Mercedes Benz C280. I called various installation shops and either the price was outrageous or they would not take on the job due to the complexity of the Mercedes electronic systems. I met with the owner (Larry) and installer (Mike) and they both said they can do it and at a reasonable price. It took several hours to complete but Mike did an awesome job and it looks like a factory install. Steering wheel controls work perfect. I highly recommend them for installing electronic equipment in your vehicle. The crew at Sound Proof Car Stereo are great. Thanks guys!

We brought both of our vehicles in for various products and we were pleased each time. These guys are highly knowledgeable, they do great work and the service is top notch. We were referred to them by a car dealership and we definitely refer them to others.
