Our 12 yr Golden Buddy, couldn't be in better hands! He loves the staff and they take great care of him! Dr. Beck and the staff are always glad to see him and they go out of their way to make him comfortable. We are lucky to board him where they know his medical history and we know he is well taken care of.

Gave my daughter a Chihuahua puppy for her birthday. So I shopped around the Woodstock and Acworth area for a Vet. I chose South Cherokee Veterinary Hospital simply for their great bedside manner. Once you walk in the door the staff makes you feel at home. They also gave me a quote for my puppy neuter procedure where the other Vets in the area seemed to be put out when I asked.

No words to express how much love is felt for SCVH, Dr. Beck, Dr. M, Dr. Iyer (no longer there), and the staff. The Pughouse has been with Dr. Beck since around 2001. From the time you walk through the door, you feel welcome and, well, secondary to the babies...this, of course, is as it should be. Over the years, Dr. Beck and his staff have been overwhelmingly accomodating, sincerely and genuinely loving with the pugs, and always patient with the humans. The love and care given to all (3) pugs, two of whom have since passed with the utmost care and respect from SCVH, can never be given enough thanks.

I recently visited South Cherokee Veterinary Hospital and loved the atmosphere and service! Everyone was so helpful and loving to my dog, Belle, and quickly made a referral for a specialist for a second opinion. No question about returning! Thanks Dr. Beck!

I began using South Cherokee back in 2001 when I moved to the Acworth area. Dr Beck was kind enough to give me my first job in my new town. I have continued to use the clinic even though I am no longer an employee... and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Both the vets and staff have recently help my husband and I through one of the toughest months of our lives. You see in April we had to make the decision to let go of our elderly baby Minya... although her heart and soul were still so vibrant, her 17+ y/o body just couldn't keep up. Then in just a matter of 3 weeks we tragically learned that her "sibling", my 10 y/o Heeler, Jasmine had advanced lung cancer and there were no treatment options... Dr Beck and his staff shared in our heartache with the loss of both our beloved "fur-babies" and I am forever grateful for all the care and kindness we have received throughout the years. Words cannot express how much I appreciate the staff at South Cherokee... their level of care is far superior to any other clinic I have dealt with in the past. Here's to a bright future... will be seeing you all again soon with our newest family additions!

I have been a client of South Cherokee Veterinary Hospital since 2009, and I have three dogs that get all of their veterinary care there. I came to South Cherokee in 2009 after adopting my first dog "of my own." Turns out she needed a luxating patella repaired! South Cherokee was very affordable and took great care of my Shenzi! Prior to the surgery she was hopping around on three legs at all times, and now she runs around like the little speed demon she is on all fours! Three years later, in 2012, I adopted my third dog, Chewie as an 8 week old pup from a rural animal control. He caught parvo while in the shelter and broke with it about three days after I brought him home. The only reason Chewie survived is because of the great care and attention he received during his hospital stay at South Cherokee. The service at South Cherokee is unbeatable, they really truly care about your pets. The front desk girls are so kind and I know they all have a special bond with Chewie, particularly, since they helped him get through such a tough disease! I'm getting ready to move to Acworth, GA and I will continue bringing my dogs to this veterinary hospital even though it will be farther away, I couldn't imagine taking them anywhere else!

Me and my wife decided that we didn't want to take our pets to our other clinic when they were due for rabies vaccines because our cat does not travel well in his carrier and we have since moved to the town lake area. Rather than force that stress on him we called the nearest clinic (South Cherokee) and asked to get an appointment for their vaccines. Well right from the first call we were given false information as they attempted to over charge us for services they didn't need while claiming they were state laws mandating these services be rendered. The receptionists biggest mistake was telling me this because I was a vet tech for 5 years and knew she was full of fecal matter. Due to this we chose to go elsewhere and even called around to verify that the information my wife and I were given was as blatant a lie as I believed and as it turned out I was correct. I would have been willing to pay for the services had they given me a legitimate reason such as us being new patients, but to come out of the gates with a fallacy was enough of a reason for us to go elsewhere.

We have gone to Dr. Iyer for over 5 years and he and his whole team have taken great care of both of our dogs. When our Rotweiller, Sadie passed away he sent a card with her paw print stamped on a card, which we thought was really sweet and now have framed on our shelf. We have boarded our bulldog Roxy there when we go on trips and they always take great care of her, playing with her and making sure she gets exercise. I don't feel like they are just trying to get my money, but like they really care about my pet.

I LOVE this vet! I have been using them for about 4-5 years and have never had anything but a pleasant experience. The front staff and I are on a first named basis because I have 4 dogs and are there almost monthly. All the front staff girls are great (Renee, Wes & Jennifer). I love the techs and Dr. Iyer! I moved to Smyrna for a year and still continued to use this vet, even though there were PLENTY that were much closer to me I still drove 30 minutes to see them. My dog had an allergic reaction one time to the shots and I called them at 5:55 (5 min before they close) and asked if I should bring him in, keep in mind it would take me 30 min to get there. They told me I could bring him in if I felt like it was an emergency or they could call in a prescription. They are just wonderful, caring people. I can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere else!

We've been seeing Dr. Beck and his staff for the past 7 years and have been thoroughly pleased with his services. All our pets are well cared for and the costs for treatments are reasonable. I can't think of a nicer group of people to care for our four legged family members. Thanks for all you do! Sincerely, Tom J.

I have known Dr. Randy Beck for over 10 years. I have high praise for his diagnostic abilities and passion for providing excellent care for his clients. He treated my cat for renal kidney failure and diagnosed what another vet failed to do. His staff and technicians are the best in the Southeast.

I just moved here from Southern California and needed a vet urgently - my dog was very sick when I brought him in. I looked up vets online and saw that this vet received high reviews. Despite spending nearly $500, they were never able to diagnose him. The vet recommended an xray which was absolutely unnecessary. I got the distinct impression the vet was more interested in making money than helping my dog. Needless to say, they prescribed antibiotics, and he relapsed several days later. They never addressed an accompanying skin issue except to send me home with some spray which would actually be contraindicated based on his symptoms!!! The staff was very kind and helpful - the vet was a nightmare. I will NEVER EVER go back. Now I will have to find a vet I can trust for another opinion as my dog is still sick. Not recommended.

We have used S. Cherokee for 1.5 years and spend about $1K in that time on our dog Suri. The technicians and front desk have been so great, however, I was appalled when we were refused service because my wife forgot her credit card and told them upfront. She told them I would come in and pay the next morning when I returned from a business trip. We have always paid at the time of service - so they know our impeccable payment record. Our dog was in an extremely uncomfortable situation with a skin reaction and bleeding around the ears and eyes from excessive scratching. We will never return and we will spread the word. My wife and I were so disgusted that money was more important than urgent care with a proven customer. Disgusting. If we were first timers with no payment history, I could understand. Very shocking that we had such great service to this point and it had to end this way. I'm sad we can't do business there any more, because there are some great people there. I've tried to be fair on the "star" ratings above. Quality and value are good - IF the pet you love gets served.
