There is also a Southcare location in Alpharetta that I don't see listed on Kudzu. Called them with no advance notice on a referral from hospice. Despite our stress and confusion, they responded efficiently and professionally. Viewing, service, cremation and burial all went perfectly. Cost was far less than quotes we got from another funeral home nearby, I think because Southcare is not associated with a national chain.

My brother in law died around 9:00 am on Sept 11. The hospice nurse called South Care Cremation Society and Memorial Centers (this is also a regular funeral home). Two women arrived in a station wagon, and one proceeded to talk loudly. Not one word of sympathy. The woman was very surly. She said they didn't work weekends. After some to do she said there would an extra $500 for Sunday visitation The pair treated the body disrespectfully when putting it into the wagon After I emailed South Care to complain about the disrectful treatment, the owner called my sister and made an appointment to come by and talk to her. He never bothered to show up. Not a nice experience for so much money. Remember the name of this establishment... and decide whether you want to send a loved one there.
