I met Chris at the Tile House while looking for tile to use in remodeling our master bathroom. His design suggestions really helped with the finished project...it turned out beautifully. We are now wanting to use him again for tile work in our kitchen. I would highly recommend him.

Got Southern Design Tile & Marble's info from a friend that had Chris do his bathroom and was totally impressed. We scheduled Chris to do our work and he was very creative and had many ideas to have us choose from. His work was very professional and the craftsmanship was outstanding. We look forward to going in our bathrooms even after a years time.

We met Chris of Southern Design by chance at a tile store. Being unsure of the other contractors I received estimates from, I overheard Chris speaking with another customer in the store so I decided to ask him how do you know you are getting an honest, trustworthy contractor. After he guided me in what to look for, questions to ask and to call references of the prospective contractors, I knew this is they guy I was looking for. He came out and gave me an estimate for my master bath remodel (which was comparable to what I already had). He had FANTASTIC ideas that we never thought about (and neither did the other contractors that had been out). I felt so comfortable with Chris that I did not even call his references as I could tell he was trustworthy and would do what he said. His standards are very high which you can tell in his workmanship. We feel like we are showering at the Ritz every day! I would highly recommend Chris for any remodel, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I love our new bathroom from Southern Design Tile and Marble. We had quotes from 5 other businesses and chose Chris from Southern Design who was the second highest price.Although he was more expensive than 3 other companies he had great design ideas and we just felt comfortable with him. 2 years later we still feel very comfortable with him and have recommended him to friends of ours who also used him and are very happy. I am an engineer and very strict on detail and Chris gave me what I wanted. We picked imported Italian tiles which he had no problem with installation and did an excellent job. With payments he asked for a minimal deposit and only requested further payments as the project progressed which was perfectly normal. A year after our bathroom was finished we had a couple of minor cracks in a line of grouting which he came out and fixed at no cost and still offers to fix anything which we are not happy with, which has not happened. We are on his list of references and are more than happy to allow future clients of his to come and see our bathroom. I highly recommend this company and advise potential clients to contact previous clients and not rely on comments on a website that cannot be questioned nor verified.

WARNING!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONTRACTOR! Used him for a bathroom renovation project and he walked out in the middle of the job after demanding more money before he was finished and after being paid more than a 50% deposit. His business practices are deceptive and unprofessional. He will not fully disclose upfront conditions for so-called "progress payments" while the job is ongoing, even though you may meet his demands for an upfront 50% deposit. He is very sporadic with his work schedule and often has "other jobs" ongoing that takes him away from your project. If you happen to get caught in his web, watch very closely his material purchases, he can be very deceptive and dishonest about where and how much he is purchasing. Don't expect to see any typical reputable business practices, for example, expected tile overages in case of future breakage, we have none and we are suspicious to where it went. He walked out with some of our plumbing items that he was supposed to replace, needless to say we are without the original items and will be having to purchase those again. He then scared off other contractors we hired, and whom he is associated with, to do other work, i.e. shower enclosure and granite vanity top. If not paid his overly demanding "progress payments", he will become aggressive and will stop work and will then attempt to "attack" you personally and financially. STAY AWAY FROM SOUTHERN DESIGN TILE AND MARBLE LLC, of Woodstock, GA! YOU'VE BE WARNED!!

This contractor is fraudulent! During our master bathroom tile project we discovered that the owner/installer has charged us for more tile than he actually ordered and picked up from a store. When we questioned him, he denied it completely blaming the tile store's CSR. He did not return the $364 difference therefore we had to stop this project in the middle of it and we are right now in the process of filing BBB complaint. Besides he is VERY pricey and again, as we found out later, he does not know how to work with sophisticated European tile which also caused us a big delay. We absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND Southern Design for your tile project!
