The trip up the needle is a steep $16 a shot. We called ahead for a lunch reservation which gives you free access to the observation deck. We were there more than 1 hour and revolved completly around and then some. We enjoyed a five star lunch while relaxing inside at a table enjoying the view. We had chicken dish $26 & crab cake melts $29 which were both wonderful. Not a bad price when you subtract the $16 each it would have been just to walk around the observation deck and take a few pictures! Wonderful experience, go for lunch.

The Seattle Space Needle is a must see when you visit. It is in the heart of Seattle and not too expensive. You have a panoramic view of the mountains, Puget sound, and the water which is beautiful. On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainer. I definitely recommend it.

I liked it better before 9/11. After 9/11 they implemented a great deal of security and took decided to make everything much more commercialized at the same time. It's definately worth eating so you can slowly see the city view. Staff is knowledgable, friendly and professional.

It's a freak of modern day design. How can you not love it. Especially on special nights when the legacy light is on. Legacy light? What the heck is that, and how much did they pay for that. Luckily this thing isn't government owned. The view is nice, but now all the buildings in town are bigger than it, so it's much ado about nothing. Enjoy it anyway. Hit it up during bumbershoot and you can get some great strawberry shortcake.
