I love to shop in thrift stores where the people are nice and have pleasant attitudes. The man that is over all the employees have a very nasty attitude. I have witnessed him scolding employees in front of shoppers. How demeaning!!!! The store is dark and gloomy. At times the man who has no teeth can be very rude.

If you love to hunt for cheap hidden treasures, Step-Up Society is an unbeatable store. On our last visit, my husband and I purchased an old-fashioned writing table and an attractive, very sturdy captain's chair for $14 total - yes, $14 total. Sure, you'll find your share of forgettable 1970s monstrosities, but the unexpected finds (like a tastefully worn burnished leather recliner for only $50) are absolutely worth the search. And here's the best part: Your purchases will help fellow Atlanta residents escape homelessness and recover from addiction. We visit often and tell all of our friends.
