I took my car in for simple repairs to the bumper. When I picked it up the key to the trunk no longer worked. I took it in 2 times after for the mechanics to take a look at it. They said it was just something that happens even through the key worked the night before I brought it in and they didnt work when I picked it up. They said they would talk to the manager to see if they could repair it and let me know. They never called back. I had to call them and thats when they informed me that they had already talked to their manager and there was nothing they could do. I NEVER EVER had a problem with either the key or the lock. I see no way this could be the result of the age of the car or wear and tear since it was just sitting in the shop for 4 days.I had never had a problem with it before. It just don't see how it was "something that happens sometimes" when the only think that changed was Sterling Autobody did repairs. It has been an extremely frustrating and exhausting ordeal. I will NEVER go back or would recommend them to anyone! I hope in the future they show a little more respect for their customers! For such a small problem, I am shocked the shop was not more respectful or mindful of customer satisfaction.

I chose Sterling because their estimate was about $300 less than other guys. But when I brought my car in, they warned me that there would be additional charge once they uncover everything. They insisted getting my insurance claim, but I told them I did not report the claim because the damage is trivial. They raised the estimate more than double their initial estimate. Due to time constraints, I agreed to let them fix. However they came back and said they wouldn't know how much more it would cost, so the price is not guaranteed. The Bottom line is, they wanted to create bogus defects to maximize their benefits through insurance, but once they know I did not report a claim. The damage I had was trivial, but knowing what they wanted to claim through the insurance was out blandish. These guys don't have any integrity.

The ladies in the office were very nice and kept me informed of the status of my car. When my car was ready, they even waited for me to get there (I made it at 5:55 and they close at 6:00) There were a few small problems, but when I returned to have them looked at they were taken care of right away. My car looks like new again.

I had a small incident in a parking lot when someone backed into the side of my car. There was very minor damage but the drivers door wouldn't open. My insurance agent recommended Sterling. Once they looked at the car, they said just the clips on the side molding needed replaced. They ordered what was needed, called me at work later that day, and asked me to stop back so they could install. Stephen at Sterling installed the clips, shook my hand and sent me on my way. I was amazed they didn't even charge for their parts or service! It was the fast, efficient, and friendly customer service of the sort you don't often find.
