Website advertises it as "Screened Top Soil - A rich dark top soil used for filling low or bare spots, planting trees or shrubs, planting beds and installation of new lawns." Their "soil", if you could call it that, was clumpy red-clay mud. "Top soil" was absolutely terrible for seeding. I could have gotten better dirt if dug up my own backyard. Was a waste of money. Will not use them again for "soil".

What can I say, great experience overall! The staff was very helpful and I am definitely coming back. I walked in with little to no knowledge of stone and the sales people helped me out with pricing and ideas for my backyard. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know.

I don't know very much about stone, but I wanted to do a patio. The staff was able to answer my questions. I had a little extra material left over, but he informed me that probably would happen. Anyway, my project looks great, and I was satisfied with the service. I have already recomendad this company to my neighbors.

Some of the people there are excellent at service and others are clearly unexperienced. I did a stone patio and took their class first. Those guys were great. Then I ordered the materials and the guy at the counter was very inexperienced and not helpful. He way over ordered and I now have over 1 ton of extra materials and no way to get rid of it. My suggestion is that if the person at the counter seems inexperienced, ask if he can get someone to help with the order.

I purchased all the materials to install a stone patio myself. I found the staff quite knowledgable, and helpful. I had no idea there was such a selection of stone available. I would definitely recomend them to anyone that is in need of their products and services.

This place is great!! They have a display garden and a putting green. 13 acres of stone, mulch and aggreates. These guys are very knowledgable and even help load your car. All of this at a fair price.

I am a DIY and did a patio this summer so I worked with Stone Forest on the details and to get the materials. They were great to work with on getting and delivering the materials (couldn't have been better). However, they were not the most helpful in discussing actually how to do the project. I think it is because they mainly supply to contractors and not DIYer's? I would use them again to get materials but look elsewhere for advice.
