I've been a member of several high-end gyms in NY and Europe (Eclipse in NY and John Harris in Vienna). Stone's does not compare to these in either the innovation of classes, the hip clientele or the spa-like feel. Of course that's not a fair comparison as Stone's is in a Houston suburb and the monthly cost is less than I'm used to. I tried 24 Hour Fitness and Bally's in Clear Lake; nothing about these places makes me want to work out! The staff only knew how to hard sell their membership and training; it was off-putting. Also, here tends to be an overflow of chatty teenagers. Finally, the dressing rooms are grimy; I always preferred to shower at home! Stone's is somewhere between all this. It does the job and maintains a friendly atmosphere. Mostly they offer spin classes and aerobic classes. There are plenty of the usual machines and a small aerobics pool. Dressings rooms are nice enough to hang out, and include a sauna. The clientele average in their 30's. In summary, it's as best as could be expected for Clear Lake. As a bit of a gym snob, I find myself enjoying my work outs there and appreciating the Southern hospitality!

I really like the extra nice dressing rooms at Stone's Fitness Center. Stone's is step up form the typical sweaty gym and the personal service is great too! I would not go anywhere else in Clear Lake.

Stone's Gym is the best gym in the Bay Area, they have THE best staff by far. They make it fun and know member's names and likes and dislikes. (Kinda like Cheers) They are very accomodating & take good care of you. The managers have an open door policy so they are easy to talk to. They have a ton of classes so it makes it easy to go even when you don't feel like it! This gym is clean and comfortable and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Stones Gym, now hiding under the name of Lobo Sports Gym, is a ripoff. They will double bill you if you quit the gym and claim they never received your request to stop billing and terminate your membership. They hire very young girls to work their front desk so they have the excuse, "well it's just so-and-so and we fired her last week. Too bad, so sad." That is not the way to trat customers.
