One of the best steak places in town. The steaks, lobster bisque, salads, mushrooms, all of it, just delicious. Not to mention the bread with honey butter! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Great for special occasions.

Long lines is usually a good sign at any eatary. Here is no different. 8 out of 10 meals here is perfect. However, those two meals, where the well done steak is burned instead of cooked properly, is a disappointment, especially considering the high prices! Tried the lamb the other day and it was over cooked and like beef jerky! Servie is always top notch!

My hubby and I went here for our anniversary and the service was really awesome the wait-staff was very personable and truly professional. We had an awesome time, very different from the one in Buckhead. Very enjoyable time.

I went here with my family the other night only because I couldn't find a Longhorn or Outback in the area. After getting over the sticker shock of the high menu prices, I decided to stay since I figured these high prices meant EXCELLENT food; sadly I was mistaken. While I certainly didn't find anything particularly wrong with the meal, the excellent quality I was expecting just was not there. Honestly I couldn't tell you the difference between my meal here or at another restaurant. I ended up spending nearly $57.00 on a meal that shouldn't have been more than $40. I did leave a $10 tip because the service was good but the bottom line is that the food itself just doesn't warrant these kind of prices. At Stoney River every menu item is overpriced all the way down to the $3 root beer, and yes they do charge for refilling it. Including the tip, I spent nearly $70 and for that same $70 I have had much better meals at other places (including the tip). My first visit to Stoney River will also be my last, unless of course I'm not the one paying.

Excellent quality food and good prices and service. It is rare to have anything go wrong here. Just make sure you can wait to eat. They usually have a lengthy wait and DO NOT accept reservations. So don't plan on making a movie or show if you eat here.

I appreciate those reviewers who say SR is a bit pricey, but I have dined at The Palm and New York Prime in Buckhead recently, and I have a new appreciation for the "value" offered at SR. NY strips at the Palm start at $36 for the meat only. Salads are $9 to $15, sides (though family style) another $8 apiece. And, in my humble opinion, the steaks at SR are way better than Palm's. I do think the wines are a little overpriced at SR, however.

I really like the food and service here. The ambiance is nice (think dark, rich colors and textures in a wealthy person's library), though it's a little too loud for normal conversation. I don't like the very high prices. I'm getting top quality food and better than average service, but I still get sticker shock when I open the menu. We only go for very special nights out.

Best Filet Mignon I have ever had. Have been there several times and it the food is alway top of the line! Great garlic mashed potatos and lobster bisque. Better than any downtown steak place! Also, a great rustic atmosphere. Sit by the stone fireplace with a drink while you wait.

Although I don;t eat red meat (and cannot, therefore, comment on the steaks), my husband and son LOVE the steaks served at Stoney River. Quite pricey, but worth the money to carniverous folks!
