I always get great service at Sugar Hill Automotive. A couple of times I have requested a certain service and Tom or Lorin told me that the service wasn't needed yet. You can't say that about every shop for sure.

I almost feel bad that they are so affordable; we're just not used to such low prices/great service. Of course, I hope they keep their prices low! They can do so because they aren't a "brand" chain with monthly quotas and overhead. They are all friendly and helpful. The best place I have EVER taken my vehicles to - and I will continue to do so.

My check engine light came on on my way home from work, it was barely idling so I had to stop at the nearest mechanic. I dropped it off at America's Service Station (stay away!)...they charged $90 for a diagnostic test and called me the next morning saying I would need a complete cylinder assembly b/c a valve was sticking, they quoted me 4,600!!... I immediately called Lorin at Sugarhill Automotive. Him and the staff there were so honest and helpful!!...they identified the real problems with my vehicle and took amazing care of it...I will get it back tomorrow for under $500! I also needed tires which they don't sell and they went above and beyond to help find me some tires for a great deal! I've lived in a few states and this is the BEST mechanic shop I have ever encountered! Thank you soo much Lorin and Sugarhill Automotive!! -Megan 5/2010

If you live in the suwanee, sugar hill, and buford area and need a good honest mechanic these are the guys to check out. Both the owner and the manager are upfront honest hard working guys that take care of their customers. Before I discovered these guys I was always disappointed by the dealership. Now a days I don't have to worry about that anymore. These guys provide great service for a good price and they are local. So support your hardworking honest local guys by giving them your business, you won't be disappointed and you won't have to worry about being ripped off anymore.

Didn't actually have a car serviced, but had them check out a car I was looking at purchasing. Lauren (sp?) was very pleasant to talk to, and was helpful in scheduling the inspection with the people I am purchasing the car from. I spoke with another gentleman when I called back and he gave me an estimate of what it would cost to fix everything that was wrong, but then went on to explain that some of the items weren't likely worth fixing immediately (like a slight valve cover leak which is merely an annoyance), but emphasized those that were (weeping water pump). Excellent communication and followup. If there's something that needs fixed that is beyond my ability, I know who I'll talk to. All of that, and it was a very reasonable charge for having things checked out.

I tried Sugar Hill Automotive out for a timing belt as an alternative to taking my car in to a dealership and paying a premium. I knew that owner Tom Steele had years of experience working in dealerships and that he would do a top notch job for me. After he provided me with neighborly service, I had all of my other vehicles serviced with him. Sugar Hill Automotive gets work done in a timely and professional way while saving me money and time. Sugar Hill Automotive has earned my trust and have since sent my friends there too!

I have been visiting Sugar Hill automotive for the past couple of years. These guys are the most honest auto repair I have ever met. Several times I have gone in with a problem I was sure was going to cost me several hundred dollars and walked out with the assurance that it was nothing to worry about or that the repair was less that $100. Take your cars, trucks, vans here you won't be sorry.

I have had several repairs down there and will not take my cars anywhere else. I have always dealt with Tom (he's one of the owners) and he has never steered me wrong. Repairs have always been fast and reasonably priced.

Tom and his staff provide top notch service and are helpful in suggesting options that allow me to select how much I want to spend on my repairs. Great service that has saved me money.

My dealership suggested I take my car elsewhere to get fixed to save $$$. I went here and spoke with the mechanic, he was suspicious of the dealer's diagnosis so he took the car on a test drive and called the dealership to consult. After talking to them he said he wasn't the guy for this job, wasn't familiar enough with the problem and my car and recommended me elsewhere. I appreciate his honesty and diligence. He didn't charge me dime and the place is clean too.

First time we had tried Sugar Hill Automotive, but since they had been recommended by friends, we went for it. The people were friendly and competent. We were pleased with both the quality and price. They completed repairs the same day and we have been pleased with the results. We will certainly return the next time we have need of automotive repair. It is refreshing to find a place where one can feel confident that the business is competent, honest, and friendly, too. Thanks for a good experience.

I have used Sugar Hill Automotive several times and have found them to be honest, work performed is very good, and they are competively priced. They will not perform unnessary work which you can not also say about auto service shops.

I moved to Georgia more than 3 years ago and was immediately referred to Sugar Hill Automotive. I was so impressed that I have never taken my cars anywhere else (except for warranty work at the dealership). Honest, fair, knowledgeable and personable are words that come to mind. You can't do better when looking for auto service (but you can definitely do worse).

I took my car in thinking it was having transmission problems. After running some diagnostics, they said I must have gotten water in the tank. They suggested I go and buy some water remover before spending any money trying to repair it. I expected them to charge me just for looking at it, but they didn't! Unfortunately, I moved away from the area or I would definitely go to them for any automotive problems. Heck, I've even considered driving all the way there just to have them work on my car!
