I enjoy Sun Dial's design, its unique fine-dining experience, and so much more, but the food is a bit pricey, so I'd recommend this place for those great, special occasions. Weekends book up pretty quickly, especially for the time slots around sunset! Overall, you can't leave town without at least visiting its observation level!

Any review of the Sun Dial starts with the view. You're at the top of the Westin rotating around the Atlanta skyline. That's why you go here. There is cheaper food elsewhere. There is better food elsewhere. That's not to say the food is bad...the times we have gone it's been good, very good sometimes, but you can find good food around Atlanta. This place is all about the view. Go before sunset to the bar and enjoy some drinks, then head down for dinner.

For Michelin quality prices you get fairly average food. My partner's ravioli starter was under-seasoned while the white wine used in the sauce for my bowl of mussels tasted like it had been on the specials display in Aldi. The mash served with my main course of lamb was gritty and barely warm and the potato that came with the beef was underdone. Both the lamb and beef were perfectly cooked but at these prices you expect perfection. What we did get were the souvenir glasses that our cocktails came served in. Very tacky and quite American. I've eaten much much better for much much less. The great view of Atlanta during sunset almost made up for it all

The place has certainly the view like no other. The service is good, the food is not bad at all. Nevertheless, Ritz-Carlton's The Dining Room (R.I.P.) it is not. While the atmosphere is warm, the overall fare is too pricey - definitely not suitable for regular dining. One visit will suffice, especially with someone from out of town.

The Sun Dial has fantastic views of the city. It is very neat to eat dinner, drinks, or desert at a restaurant that revolves. The restaurant moves at a very slow pace, and it becomes barely noticeable. It is nice to be seated adjacent to the windows. The food is very good, but slightly expensive. However, we are paying for the atmosphere. It is a good place to take visitors, and it can also be a romantic night on the town.

this place is good. i only went here for lunch when prices are reasonable. dinner prices are through the roof. dont' look at the lines where the platform rotates or you'll get dizzy! the place needs to replace its carpet and add some better interior design and lighting.

Every major city has a revolving restaurant and this is Atlanta's. Nice view and about an hour's meal means a 360 degree view of the city. Great service, good food and not as expensive as I thought it would be. Do lunch.

I.e. meeting the parents, engagements, weddings, major anniversaries. It's expensive but delish and the service is unequalled. The steaks are great, brick chicken is wonderful, all the salads are tasty, the mixed drinks are dangerous. Word to the wise. If you ever have trouble with motion sickness - skip it.

I echoing the same things everyone else is saying. Stop by check out the view, have a drink, and go some where else to eat. The food is ok... nothing great, but the price tag is crazy. They should be honest with people and have a cover charge for the view and price there food where it should be (which is somewhere around a Friday's, or Chilies). The service is great - but you pay for it lol.

I love that this restaurant has a seasonal menu...every time you go, you find a new favorite. If you are looking for a romantic place, this is it. If you want to show someone the best view of Atlanta, visit the Sun Dial. Their service is AMAZING!
