The only positive was that the tech came during the window of time that was promised. Besides that we were disappointed - We didn't care for the plumber, the price was outrageous for the fix, and it was just an overall waste of time. My husband ended up fixing our problem for less than $30.

Sundial has been molded over the years by customer feedback and your experience is important to us. Thank you for sharing. May we ask the specific information about the call such as date, address, etc.... of your service so we have the opportuity to review? If we knew specifically the job scope and price your were given we could review for accuracy. Sundial has standarized pricing and as such, jobs are rarely mispriced but it has happened before. For the sake of others, we would be appreciative for the opportunity to have the information so we may have the fortuity to implement correction. In closing, we are happy your husband made the plumbing repair. Thank you for the feeback and we look forward to having specific job information so we can correct the experience for you and others.
Where do I begin? Called first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment because of a busted water pipe at the front of the house. They said they would have a plumber come out that day from 12-5 pm. Due to the large timeframe I took off work so I could be home when the plumber called. Fast forward to 4:30 pm that day...no call from plumber. I followed up and was informed that the plumber was behind and would not be able to make it that day. So, I just wasted a day of work for no reason. They said they would get me in first thing in the morning the following day and give me $25 off the price of the job (later found out that this was a coupon they are offering on their website). When the plumber arrived at 9:30 the next morning he examined the ground and gave me an estimate of $986 to fix an unknown problem because the issue was underground and he would have to dig. 30 minutes after digging he finds that the issue was a connection from the main water line to the house was done incorrectly. He replaced the shark bite coupling and roughly 1' worth of copper piping. Two hours of labor and maybe $50 worth of replacement parts cost us close to $1000. Sundial promotes that the upfront estimate is a positive thing but they just use this to lock you into the price. They give you the worst case scenario and if it is an easier job then 'it is what it is'. Advice: For your own good hire a plumber who gives an estimate after looking at everything. Will never recommend Sundial!

Please accept our apologies for the delay received .Business has not been typical the last week due to freezing temps. Typically, Sundial will dispatch 50-70 service requests a day, yet, in the last 9 days -close to 3,000 requests, most of which have involved serious property damage or, like in your case, interruption of service. In response to many emergencies, alternations were made. Sadly, updating clients was done, but done late in evening once phones were set on auto reply. Dispatchers experienced difficulty procuring outgoing phone lines due to influx of calls. Temp workers were also hired to help. This info is not offered as an excuse, more as insight. I am glad you called sooner to check status. When the tech arrived on Sat. am, no emergency or added costs were charged, just regular rates. The service, invoice, scope of work, pricing, & a meeting with the tech who performed the job all were reviewed & the charges for the scope of work were found to be accurate. Our important service offered is the ultimate of respect for client resources & choices clients have with plumbing. The hardest part of tech training is up-front price commitment. Records show tech was at the job in excess of 3 hours, but costs would be the same if the job took 5 hours. Time also considered in pricing is the many yrs 1 must commit to become State Lic & experienced to offer efficient, accurate plumbing services to clients. No job is started without your written direction to do so. In the job performed at your home, the tech gave the price in writing, upfront& performed the committed work, in spite of often encountered job complications. The tech submitted only 1 price to excavate/repair an unknown pipe type /size, which he did. The tech documented there was uncertainty if the length of piping would need to include resealing the foundation penetration, so you would know. No one could know this until excavation/ pipe type/condition were known. Everyone was happy when excavation was done , added work was not needed. In contrast to existing previously repaired pipe at same spot (the repair still needed to be made) found once excavated, the repair Sundial made is durable, code compliant, used quality parts & best practices that will give value to the home & operational comfort to those who need water service. Finally, the tech was well trained, competent, responsible, delivered value with a quality job performance & offered you total choice with all aspects of the job. The tech also checked water psi located 2 cutoffs & included a 1 yr. warranty for our work. We appreciate you contacted Home Reports & chose Sundial when you needed an emergency repair. We hope you will keep us in mind for future repairs & give us an opportunity to demonstrate our typical standard of service that has satisfied thousands of documented clients with the goal to provide value over the long run with high quality plumbing delivered by techs with proper, State & Fed credentials.
Sundial prevented us from spending over $3,000 for a service that another plumbing company recommended. Bobby was outstandig; Not only was he professional and well mannered, but really took the time to explain all steps throughout the process. Sundial is #1~!

They told me there was a crack in the tank of the toilet and it would be $465.00 to install new one (not including the cost of a new toilet). As ridiculous as that price is, the worst part is there is no crack. All that needed to be done is tighten the screws. So, take your pick...either incompetence or dishonesty.

Thank you for your taking the time to post your experience. We were surprised by the comment that our labor price was $465.00 to install a toilet. That is not accurate. Our price to install an owner supplied toilet is $312.80. That includes loading, hauling off and disposing of the old toilet, installing a new toilet along with a new stainless steel braided supply line. We aren't sure what happened, but want you to be pleased. Our pricing is fair, competitive and consistent. The up-front pricing is copyrighted yet open for your review and approval before any job begins. Your business is so important to us! We would love to disuss this job further should you wish. We also invite you to stop by office, meet our managers, view our pricebook and have further discussion.
I made an appointment for an estimate. I was given a window of 12-5pm. I waited until 5pm to call and ask why they didn't show up. They said that no one was available in my area at that time but I could reschedule for the next day! They also said someone called and tried to reschedule which I could prove was a lie since they only had my cell phone number and it has a call log. They acted as if I had nothing better to do than to wait another whole day for them to grace me with their time.

Please accept our most sincere apology for the delay you experienced. We investigated and determined what happened with the scheduling delay. Before we begin, please know we are saddened that you were inconvenienced, as that is never our intention. The technician scheduled for you had a mechanical vehicle failure. While these events are not typical and do not happen often we empathize with you and have sent a $50.00 off coupon with no expiration date and hope you will consider us again in the future.
Mark came to our home to give us a quote for work to be done and was thorough and honest about everything from what needed to be replaced to the costs. Truly a professional organization and we will definitely be using them again!!!!

A few weeks ago, we were having issues with very low water pressure in our kitchen. Sundial (Gary was the Sr Tech) came out, diagnosed the problem, cleaned out some trash in the inbound line to faucet, and was out in <15 minutes...and didn't even charge us for the service call!!. Great job, Sundial.

Thank you for calling Sundial and giving us an oportunity to provide plumbing solutions to you. We are 38 hard-working people who care and want to earn your trust. Thank you again and if we can ever be of assistance please don't hesitate to call. BY THE WAY - YOU MADE OUR DAY BRIGHT!!!!!
Sundial Plumbing was recommended to me by a friend, and I used them during a bathroom remodel. I was so impressed with the installer they sent out (William Beltran) that I asked for him directly when I could not solve a later problem. William spent way more time then the final bill suggested solving my problem, and I would not hesitate to use Sundial again.

Sundial installed a new tankless water heater to replace our old water heater. THe estimate was very fair and much lower than your best competitors. The work was done by Ryan Edgar and his helper Joel. They arrived on time and did the work in a very professional manner. The work was done with perfection and they even cleaned up when finished. I look forward to many yars of great service from my new tankless heater. Again many thanks to Ryan Edgar and Joel who did the installation and also to Mike Teti who did the electrical hookup. These three men certainly are a great asset to Sundial Plumbing. I would reccommend this company without hesitation and will use them for any furture plumbing needs! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for your kind review and your support of Sundial Plumbing Services!
Leak in pipe in my kitchen ceiling. Moved around appointments to come out first thing that morning. Plumber very professional. $125 charge to cut sheetrock was too high in my opinion as it was not included in the plumbing work. over all charge was a little high ($425) for the work done. still, very competent service overall.

I urge you to not hire this company. They give you estimates and tell you that the work is going to be extensive; then, the work turns out to be much less complex and they still charge the extremely high price. Run away !!!

We are very saddened to see your review.
Please know that your feedback is important to us. Critical feedback is given top priority in a number of ways. First, we have a have a 1 hour board that serves as a 1 hour time frame for resolutions. Second, warranty and go back calls are given dispatch priority.
It is never our intention to displease anyone. If you would provide your information, I would be happy to research all paperwork and get back with you.
I had used Sundial in the past, so I decided to call them regarding a leak from my upstairs bath into my downstairs bath. Gary came out and said he would need to cut a hole in the downstairs ceiling to diagnose the problem. He did not go outside to try to diagnose from the roof lines, did not open the access panel to my jetted tub, or anything else. He instantly wrote up an order for $199 and asked me to sign for him to cut the hole. I asked him exactly what this covered and he said, "putting down plastic, cutting the hole, getting dirty, and cleaning up". I expressed my concern over what appeared to be a high cost for cutting a hole, and no repair had been made. Gary then said to me, "Do you know what Xrays in a doctor's office would cost you?" After thinking about this for a few minutes, I asked Gary to leave. I called another plumbing company that came out and diagnosed the problem as a caulking issue around my jetted tub(after opening the access panel to the tub and finding the leak). This service call cost me $27.50 and a tube of caulk. Needless to say, their prices are high and the employees lack knowledge and ethics.

We empathize with the displeasure you have expressed regarding the price to cut your sheetrock. So much so, that I personally initiated contact with the service technician who provided service to your home and am delighted to report the following three things: First, we're sorry. The worst cricticism is cricticism we find to be accurate. Second, fundamental, administrative and technical training changes have been made as a result of your feedback. While this won't change what you have experienced, it will insure that no else experiences the frustration of not having their plumbing needs met. Third, we are people that care and are serious about plumbing and serving our customers. Finally, please know that we do value your feedback. Sundial is unique in that all feedback - good or bad is documented in writing, reviewed and affects our policies and business practices. All feedback is valuable and should be sought after - especially negative feedback.
Came home from work late in the afternoon with water in my basement. City came and turned the water off. Leak in the yard. Called Sundial thru 2012 Verified home services . They were out in a few hrs. Found the problem and we were fixed with in 24 hrs. Amazing group...very professional and knowledgable. Thank you Ryan Edgar, Nick and Joel. Will absolutely call this company again.
