The last review of SSH was in 2014 and it was terse and unforgiving based on 'management.' Much like reading reviews of hotels, you need to look past a person who had a personal problem and then rates the entire place poorly based on their one experience. I hesitated writing a review because I don't want the lottery to get so full my 2nd and 3rd children can't get into the school. My son just completed Ga-Pre-K program and if you are searching around East Cobb and don't want to pay college tuition for Pre-K, the Sunshine House is a great place. Our son's teacher was excellent. She kept parents fully informed and provided great feedback on his development. The classes aren't small, its 2 teachers for 22 students, but 11-1 ratio isn't bad and lets face it, its Pre-K. They are learning to count, paint, interact with others and play with respect towards other students. I think it benefited our son greatly for next year. As for management, the owner/director, Sherma, was always polite, informative and very much cared for every child in her care. There are plenty of private Pre-K programs around East Cobb, so get out your check book, but I don't think my son has learned any less than students who attended those other schools. The cost per month at SSH - $100.00/mo. That includes breakfast and lunch every morning. The meals were very healthy and probably better than we would do on an every day basis. Can't disagree more with the prior poor reviews.

Although we have been very happy with the pre-K teachers at the Sunshine house, the management has been horrible. A couple of new directors over the past two years have made the environment unpleasant for much of the staff. Management has been extremely unprofessional towards parents on numerous occasions.

After looking at several providers we selected Sunshine House 4 years ago and have not regretted our decision for a minute. The director is so loving and open for any comments or suggestions. She is exceptionally astute at teacher selection. And the teachers are simply the kindest and most patient people that can be found. My children love going to school and have developed special bonds with their teachers, the directors and even teachers outside of their specific class. The lesson plans are varied and many different activities are planned to hold the kids interest. The facilities are clean and the staff does a great job of staying on top of the many contagious illnesses that are common to these ages, including informing us parents of what to watch for and what to do to prevent spreading. My children have learned so much, and look forward to every day- even to the point of greeting the director with hugs and kisses daily!

My three kids have all attended SH from the infant room through Pre-K (still have 2 there now) and it has been wonderful. The teachers love my children like they are their own and give wonderful care. My kids love to go to school and learn so much. The infant room is extremely loving and they form a special bond with the babies. I couldn't imagine a better daycare experience and I've had some bad ones. Any questions or issues I have are quickly addressed and resolved. Words can't express the peace of mind I have knowing that I leave my kids everyday in such loving, capable hands. They are all blessings from God to us and we are very thankful for them.

After moving from Maryland we had a hard time finding a school we felt lived up to the quality and care we had grown accostumed, until we found the Sunshine House. The moment we walked through the door we felt at home! The Director and her assistant are always there to give us a smile and the teachers are phenominal! The teachers keep me up to date on the progress of my children and the school is always informing parents of any illness that may be going around and what signs to watch out for. This Sunshine House is a loving environment for any family.

I am so happy to find The Sunshine House on Paper Mill Road. It's clean and bright and like a school but also has such a personal homelike feel. My child is so happy and has learned so much! Amazing value when you consider how much some of the other so called preschools charge! Highly recommend!

Only had my child there for one week and the experience was awful. First day we pick him up and he's hunched over in a bouncy seat with his head almost touching his knee. They never used diaper cream while he was there. When I told them I was withdrawing my child they didn't try to see if they could make things better. Their phone was always busy when trying to checkup on my child. This place is not remommended at all.

I agree with the other post, Jennifer is moody and she "claims" that she handles things, just makes things worse. The infant room is awesome, but until you get to Pre-K there is a lot to be desired. Sad really....

This center was the closest to our home so I admit that I enjoyed the convenience. I have no problem with the way in which the staff treated my child, but Jennifer was extremely moody at times.

This day care is the best in town! My daughter absolutely loves this school. The facility is clean and the teachers truly do care about the children. This is a must see if you are looking for quality child care.
