I have been riding with Esther since she started Talisman Farm and knew her before that. She is an excellent instructor and trainer. Her methods are horse and people friendly and her rates are reasonable. I have never had any problem with her.

I have ridden with Esther for almost 7 years now and it has been nothing but a great experience. She not only helped me find my horse, but when he became ill she spent many long evenings and even her days off helping me care for him. Esther has always treated every horse at the barn as if it was her own. Redstone Ranch is a great place to board and is full of friendly people who love horses.

After my previous trainer moved out of state, I was left to find another trainer. I had become familiar with most, if not all, of the trainers in Vegas at the time and Esther was the ONLY trainer I trusted. She honest, friendly, and very organized. She cares about her clients, both horses and riders, and acts only in their best interest. She is NOT a flaky person at all and will, in fact, almost always keep your appointment w/o re-scheduling. She is also well educated in the art of riding and believes in the foundation of classical dressage training. She is a wonderful person to work with and I highly recommend her.

Esther is a very professional barn manager, I recently purchased a horse that I entrust to her care. The boarding facility is wonderful, the horses are cared for and the price is right. Esther is hard working, but always available in an emergency. I also take lessons from Esther twice a week, as a trainer, she is outstanding, I have learned a lot as a come back to it rider. She is patient and answers all my many questions. Her first priority is safety of the rider. My horse and I are developing together with her help in to a show quality pair. I am there every day, and I have complete confidence in this facility in both caring for my horse and training me as a rider.
Talisman is a great place to train and better yourself as an equestrian. My wife worked with Esther for quite a few years and is still in contact with her since we have moved out of state. We have referred other riders in the Vegas area to Esther. She is very professional, great with the horses and her prices are reasonable.
Esther helped me find my mare three years ago. She took time to locate prospects, rode them for me and even flew to California with me twice to look for a horse. She will work with you no matter what your goals and experiences are. Lessons and Boarding are priced very fairly priced. If you are looking for a great trainer with 20+ years of experience and a positive attitude towards her clients and horses, Esther is your gal.
I would have to say that working with Esther at Talisman has been a great experience. We made some amazing progress with both my Dressage horse and my Hunter. She is very punctual, organized and professional. I have referred other equestrians to work with her and I think she is one of the best trainers for dressage/hunter/jumper in the Las Vegas area.
Esther is the best. The quality of her instruction is outstanding and extremely professional. She is always on time and prepared. Knowing that Esther had prepared me step-by-step,I went from being a novice rider to being comfortable, safe and most importantly jumping fences in the show ring - my goal. The facility is clean, well-managed and affordable.

I recently went there to get information on boarding. I was made to feel like I was imposing on the manager. She was rude and very inconsiderate. The place was filty, the horses that were there were very thin. Besides all that it is extremely overpriced.

I find this post quite interesting, and would like further info from horseloverz as to when this occured as viewing of facility is by appointment only and I have had no boarding appointments scheduled in over two months.
Esther sets a lesson calendar, and then never looks at it again. You are lucky if she shows up at all, but she will still charge you for the lesson.

Lynnelv was terminated from training program (over 5 years ago) for failing to show up to groom / tack up her horse and be in attendance of training sessions as per her signed training contract. In addition Katman was being rehabed from racetrack injury in which Lynne wanted horse pushed beyond it's current physical limitations despite the fact i was following instruction from attending vet on rehabilitation program for Katman. Lynnelv was also asked to leave the facility at the time by the barn owners for causing un-necessary barn drama.
Things are great when you start off until you start asking for them to take care of things that are expected from these types of facilities. Does not listen to borders, business is always right. Shorts on feed, many times found water empty, stalls dirty until you complain or you do it yourself. Poor attitude I would think twice before boarding at this facility there are other more reputable places in town and near this facility that have ethical Management.

munchousinakadebbieslinkard tried to move her daughters horse off the premises without paying her board and was caught. Had nothing to do with the facility other than not being able to afford the cost of board and trying to leave with out paying board owed. Facility is clean, stalls are mucked daily, organized and horses are never shorted on feed. On the contrary a couple of boarders asked us to reduce how much hay we were feeding their horses because their horses were getting pleasantly plump, as the hay portions are generous & we feed 3 x day not 2 x day.
