The last two times the tech came to my house he arrived outside the scheduled time and only treated the outside. My house is overrun with ants, spiders and other bugs. They are getting in my sink and everywhere. This is not the service I paid for and this is not worthy of a reputable company.

I too fell victim to Terminix when they bought out MayDay Pest control. With MayDay I always had excellent service with nice workers, no bugs to be seen for months and it was a price that was affordable. Once Terminix took over, the workers were rude, they didn't know what they were talking about, i saw bugs all the time, and when it was time to renew it was a 100% increase over MayDay's prices. Furthermore, when MayDay learned of my extreme allergic reaction to bees and wasps they made sure to knock down all nests and spray for them which was included in my price. Terminix had no compassion for it at all, never knocked down a nest and told me if i wanted them to do so it would be extra...i'm sorry are they or are they not a PEST control service? We also experienced an ant problem, which they never addressed. Aside from poor service, they tried to scam us for more money by saying we never paid balances that they had never billed us for nor had they completed a service. We called several times for the manager and each time he told us he would call us back and never did. They are the worst pest control i have ever dealt with, i would actually consider them pests themselves.

I have been looking for REASONABLE termite prevention in my home since I purchased it last year. The previous owner had sentricon and I would like to have it again. I have called 3 pest services so far (Allgood, Arrow, and Terminix) Allgood and Arrow are much higher than I am hearing from my friends who live nearby but are too far away to be serviced through the same company, but neither of them are even half of what terminix charges. They told me for Sentricon I would be paying $2000 to install (put like a dozen green things in the ground? I could train a CHIMP to do that!) and then "at least $400" to renew my subscription. This is ABSURD! I would suggest if you are looking at terminix that you turn your back and RUN AWAY! I wanted to leave quality and service blank as I am not receiving their service, but the review system wont let me.

I really can't say enough about how terrible Terminix customer service is. Every single person who comes out here is a)late and b)when they do show up, usually has no idea what service they're supposed to perform. Then everyone passes the buck -- I can't tell you how many times I've been told "I don't know why they told you that" or "that person doesn't know what they're talking about." We inherited this service from the previous homeowners and will be canceling it ASAP -- as soon as Terminix shows up to do what we've asked. And I'm not holding my breath.

Terminix bought Mayday Pest Control, who was a great company (found here on Kudzu no less) and I wasn't sure if this was going to be a good thing. I'm still not sure about them. We had a bit of an Ant problem (during the worst of the drought) and I called for service. They came out and sprayed around the house the day before the appointment (which is a no-no for us since we have a dog). The guy who came for the appointment complained that he wasn't going to get paid now, since someone else will turn in the paperwork first. However, he did spray in the house where the ants were crossing the threshold and told me that everyone was having ant issues (they are looking for water). However, here we are a month later and I'm going to have to call them to come back out, the ants are back and we are seeing more spiders. Between the less friendly staff and the apparently poor effectiveness, I am not sure they are worth the money.

We signed up with Terminix several years ago after discovering we had termites. The renewals on their baiting system contiued to go up a considerable about every year, so we decided to look around to change companies. We signed a contract with another company, we called Terminix and asked that they come and pull their stations, they did come and pull them a couple weeks later. Months and months after they pulled the stations I am still getting threatening phone calls and letters for a service that I no longer have with them. No one is customer service can assist you. They are all just sorry help. Go with Northwest Exterminating--they are great all the way around.

Our Terminix representative seems to prefer to come when no one is home. He just leaves a paper with check marks showing what he inspected. We often wonder if the service was actually performed.

I will not do business with Terminix again. We had them for termite and pest control. Technicians failed to show up at all sometimes or came at the very end of a 4-hour window, were rude, did a sloppy job and failed to get rid of the cockroaches. My credit card expired and rather than talking to me to get updated info, they reported me to a collections agency. Use Chemical Technologies instead! We switched and are much happier!

I inherited Terminex from the previous owner. They're very nice on the phone, but last year's annual termite inspector showed up with no notice & I was not home, so he could not do a full inspection. This year I got an automated notice, but it turned out to be in error (it gave the wrong date, which I found out when I called to confirm). I then scheduled an appt and asked them to have the rep call me 30 min in advance so I could let him inisde the house. They agreed. When I called today to confirm I'd get a 30-min call in advance, it was again confirmed. The tech never called, showed up without me there to meet him, and left. He left his card so I was able to call him and reschedule. He apologized and said he didn't get the message from the office. The office also apologized. Nice people, so-so service, in my experience. Follow-up: the tech did reschedule (and call ahead, this time) and was very nice.

We have used Terminix off and on for nearly 20 years. We stay with them for termite control only because they are big and would be more likely able to pay for termite damage than a small company. They used to send well-trained technicians. Lately they have sent people who seemed to know even less than I did! One year they sent an African who barely spoke English. Now maybe he knew a lot about termites but it didn't show. He wasn't very thorough. For the past 3 years they have not inspected under the house, since they came when they wanted to, unannounced, and we weren't home to let them in the crawl space. They used to come monthly for pest control too. Since my cat was poisoned and nearly died when they (outside spraying) and Ortho (inside spraying)came on the same day, I asked them to call before they came so I could keep the cat inside. That didn't seem very important to them, and they rarely called. When I terminated the monthly pest service, I never heard from them. I guess losing a customer isn't important when you have a well-known name and big advertising budget.

I had the inspector came out and he quoted me $1300 for termite program. These guys must be working on a commission because he started out nice and as I consider if I will go with them, he became less and less patient and I didn't feel good about the attitude so did not go with them. Renewal was $400 a year.

I was a new customer and have been presently surprised with the Excellent Customer Service. Employees are both courteous and knowledgeable, and make you feel that you are important to them.

THough Terminix has serviced my house frequently in the past year, bugs still continue to enjoy living rent-free in my house. I don't quite understand what Terminix is using to spray my house with, but clearly it is not working.

Biggest company sure, but the free inspection they sent me quoted me $1200-1600 for my first treatment including drilling into my house. Then it would be $225-400/yr. The thing is I don't even have termites, I was just looking for preventive maintenance. Maybe they're just VERY thorough, but I'd suggest shopping around
