My wife and I had a great experience at the Armory on 04/06/2013. We had no intent to purchase anything, but we were sold on the S&W M&P9 kit that we saw. I only wish that I could remember our salesman's name. He was in a word, great. My wife had expressed little interest in firearms prior to our visit, but our salesman made her feel right at home. He seemed more than willing to show us everything in the entire store with no pressure to buy whatever. In fact; it was more like he was showing us his personal collection rather than store inventory! I cannot speak for the experiences of others; but we were treated extremely well. I've been telling everyone at our church, and we will indeed be back.

Great customer service I was amazed a couple days ago when I went into the Armory, they had pallets of ammo on the floor a wall full of AR 15 and cases full of Glock, Smith & Wesson and Kimber's at the cheapest price I have seen in the Hampton Roads area. Joe the guy behind the LE counter spent a good helping me out by making sure I got the right guy I need and showed me how to take it apart and do maintenance on. Fantastic store

The men who work there should ALL be fired. They are very rude and seem to always talk down to you. I don't need that kind of crap from them or anyone else. In the past I have purchased 2 pistols, and 2 rifles from them. I really don't think that I will be doing business with them again. Bob White.

Like most of the reviews The Armory's service sucks big time. They are rude and arrogant. If you ask for help, they act like you are annoying them. Their prices are not as advertised and when you confront them about that they say "oh well". By FAR, THE WORST GUN STORE I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO and I have been to LOTS. I hope they go out of business soon. They will surely not be recommended by me or any of my buddies on the police force who've dealt with their sub par service. Oh and another thing, they are selling the Glocks under the "blue label program" for more than they are supposed to. They are selling them for $100 more. I called Glock and asked if they could do that and they said absolutely not. Glock said they are supposed to be $398, but Armory is selling them to LEO's and Military for $499.99. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves taking advantage of LEO and military smh.

I ordered 880 rounds for my mosin nagant, bulgarian made. The Armory was the only place stocking the full crate of this ammo, and I was extremely pleased to see the price they offered. While perusing through their website, I noticed some items that obviously had not been updated for years. My advice would be to CALL the first and make sure they have what you want, or at the least send an email. Or you can believe the other people that have left them negative reviews and that just means MORE FOR ME TO BUY, LOL. Oh, did I mention that I ordered it on a last Thursday and it came today, considering yesterday was Columbus' Day? Shipping was only half what I payed for Widener's, nothing against them. Between Wideners, SGAmmo and The Armory you can't go wrong. My advice, pick the location closest to you, you'll save about ten dollars in shipping that way. For me, Virginia Beach to Pittsburgh is mighty direct. Widener's is in TN and SGAmmo in OK. Best of Luck and Wishes.

I went to the-armory.com after seeing good reviews on resellerratings.com and on YouTube. I should have read the reviews here on kudzu first! Other people mentioned that the-armory.com is slow in processing and shipping orders and they do not answer emails. This happened with me. I ordered a few hundred rounds from them and after a few days, I checked my order status on their website and it still just said "order received." I read their shipping policy and it said: "Most orders process within 5 business days or sooner. However, if there is a large surge in orders it may take up to 7 business days to process your order." So I waited for 7 days and still no status change. I emailed customer service requesting an update. I waited 2 business days and they did not reply so I cancelled my order. I also received unauthorized charges on my card around the same time I sent the email requesting info on my order. Although I can't prove it was someone from the-armory.com, it is suspicious. I ordered the same items from SGammo.com for the same price but cheaper shipping AND better customer service.

I belong to a national gun forum and the horror story described just doesnt jibe with our/my experience. The Toll free number with a live person on the other end usually solves most problems, which are our own fault by fat fingering the required info. The owner Bill, the Manager Ralph, and the shipping manager Mike have been totally responsive to our needs either by phone or email.I do not hesitate to highly recommend.

Have ordered ammo online many times in the past. They were fast and great to do business with. Placed an order a week ago, and still is only received. Placed the same order with BulkAmmo.com 4 days later and it is already being shipped. Use to only order from the Armory but not anymore. We do business with BulkAmmo from now on. They are fair priced and Fast with shipping..

I ordered a Glock 26 Gen 4 and was told it would be there in 3 days. When I called to check it was in I never received a call back. I called 3 times and never received a call from the salesman. I finally spoke to a lady who told me that the Glock had not come in and she did not know when it would be in stock. I found the same gun later that evening at a local dealer and called The Armory to tell them I wanted a refund, which they agreed to - This was on March 31 and I was told I would receive a call back to confirm the deposit had been applied, guess what - no one called. Then on April 13 I received a call telling me the Glock I ordered had now come in and was ready for me to collect. I explained that the order was cancelled and was told my deposit would be returned. On April 27 I received another call telling me the Glock had come in and was ready for me to collect. I again explained that the order was cancelled and was told my deposit would be returned. I feel I have spoken with just about every member of their staff and they clearly do not communicate with each other. I called again today, May 4, to obtain a refund - still waiting. My advice - STAY AWAY......STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

Customer service here is non-existent, the employees when they finally do acknowledge you are rude as he11. If you like being left alone and offered no assistance whatsoever, this is the place for you! Also, don't go by their website, half the stuff they advertise they don't actually have and in some cases have not had for years. I recently discovered D&R in Norfolk I Will be going there from now on, they actually greet you when you come through the door

Used to love the place. But I have to say, as a long time customer, their customer service has gone the way of the covered wagon. Call on the phone, they put you on hold for 10 min. Go to the store and they are talking on the phone for 10 min while you stand there and wait. Get an FFL transfer and for your hard earned $30, they act like they are doing you a HUGE favor. Guess what folks, get your stuff in one sock and remember that the customer is the reason YOU are there not the other way around. I believe until I hear otherwise, I'll be refering folks to ANY other shop in town. Maybe if enough of us go elsewhere for our shooting sports needs, they will get their head out of there collective backsides and go back to at least PRETENDING that the customer matters!!

I have been doing bussiness with the armory since the late 1980's I whole hardly agree with the last writers opinions. But however I would like to see gunsmith services reinstated. The last gunsmith quit after a long dispute with the owners. nice gunshop especially after they expended the store. I too have purchased about 80% of my collection there through the years !

Bill & Marie are 2 of the finest people to walk God's green earth, friendly, knowledgable, helpful and really interesting people too. Their gunshop is top notch and their employees are the best. The entire staff is this areas best resource for hands on gun knowledge. They have some of the best ammo pricing around, & a huge selection, if they don't have your caliber, they can usually locate it for you. When I buy a new rifle or pistol, I go there 1st. Out of the last 5 purchases I made, 4 were from The Armory. The 5th being an impulse buy at a gunshow. Keep an eye out for special deals they have Mil Surp too, by far the best deals I have ever seen for MilSurp firearms!
