I have been using this groomer for about a year now and the work is ok; but I stuck with them to support my local businesses. This weekend I dropped my yorkie off to be groomed, and as I was on a phone call in my car for about 5 minutes my dog came running out of there establishment into 4 lanes of traffic. I had to jump out of my car run into traffic to save my dog from being killed. After dodging cars and chasing my dog, she finally calmed down, and I was able to catch her. I immediately put her back into my car and sat there for 30 minutes calming my nerves. The owner came out and said sorry about that, and that was it. ARE YOU SERIOUS my dog was almost killed and that's it! How about an explanation as to why this happened so it doesn't happen to anyone else! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN - .and for anyone that does, make sure you ask yourself this question - ."Is my dog safe?"

I have called several places to try and find a groomer for my new puppy. Several places I called either made it difficult to make an appointment or they were rude when I was asking a first time dog owners questions. The lady who helped me was very nice, explained everything in detail and was very friendly. She seemed happy to have my business instead of acting annoyed like the other places. They take their time with your dog and take them out for needed walks. Look no more, schedule your dog with The Clean Dog, Inc!!

I was looking for a groomer who would allow me to hold my 7 lb. long haired chihuahua while he had his nails trimmed -- you'd be surprised how many places won't let you in the room while they're grooming. Maria and Julie were awesome; not only did they let me hold Oscar, but it was the best he ever did during a nail trim. Maria was done in less than five minutes. When I picked him up an hour and 15 minutes later, he was fluffy, clean and happy. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend The Clean Dog for anyone with a shy, easily stressed or high-maintence pup. They were wonderful!

I've been taking my standard poodle Sascha to Clean Dog for 3 years--always a pleasure and she can be a bit careful with new people. She's always happy to go to Clean Dog for what I refer to as her "spa day." Recently I got a new standard poodle puppy, Loki, from Louter Creek Hunting Poodles (awesome local breeder preserving, as they say, "the standard in the field'). Loki had been given a puppy cut a few times, but is SO comfy with the grooming and bathing at Clean Dog. Also, I picked up not only a good Buffalo Chew for him, but a really cool "over the head and go" reflective leash. Drop in. Ask for Aurelia.

When we first walked in around 11:30, there was no one there...in fact she didn't come to the front for a good 5 minutes. I told her the cut I wanted for my puppy, and she told me to come back at 2PM. Around 2PM, I gave them a call and she said they were running behind so my dog would be ready around 3. Long story short, my dog wasn't ready till 6PM that night. 4 hours later than what I was told. She gave me a bunch of excuses such as : we are really busy, we had to air dry your dog, etc...When we finally got the call to pick our puppy up, we were charged an extra $20 than quoted for "extensive demating". My favorite part? After we got home, I found more mats on my dog's fur even after all that "extensive demating". I called them, and she told us to bring our dog back to remove the mats. She said he should be ready in about half an hour. Thinking this, we stayed nearby in the area. AGAIN, we weren't able to pick him up for 4 hours. This was a Tuesday morning btw. The cut looked nothing like what I had wanted and I STRONGLY URGED EVERYONE TO AVOID THIS PLACE! THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND WAST

Not only they groom dogs (very good I may add) but they also take care of cats. I have been taking my animals (2 cats, one beagle and a couple of 'visitors') to them for about 3 years. Cat groomers are not easy to find... The service and attention to detail, on top of their love for animals, make them an excellent resource. Hours are great (they open weekends) and they are in town. I don't hesitate to rate them with 5 stars.

So sorry, Clean Dog, but I won't be back. I'm not a regular because I rarely need grooming services. On this last visit, I was dissapointed by service, quality, and value. The people were very friendly, but not exactly up-front. I specifically made an appointment for 7:00 a.m. The employee on the phone asked me if I'd like to change to 7:15. I declined because of work constraints. When I tried to change the appointment to a later time, I found that they had put me down for a 7:15 appointment. Obviously, 15 minutes is not a big deal and wasn't on my radar until I picked up my dog. She was happy, and looked pretty good. As I paid, I was informed that the price for my dog had increased because she had to be shaved twice. Keep in mind, it's the same dog they apparently had to shave twice on my previous visits. I have no problem paying for extra services, but perhaps the extra $10 should have been mentioned before the service was provided, not upon payment. Also, it took the dog about 24 hours to recover from her time at The Clean Dog. Normally she is hyped up and excited after visiting the groomer. After this visit, she was extremely sedate and had to sleep for about a day. She wouldn't eat or go out until the following evening. The bows were precious, but the razor marks still aren't that attractive. Also, I had to wipe off the bits of blood that they missed after cutting her nails to the quick. Won't be back, sorry!

We take our dogs for nail clipping and to bathe them ourselves. The groomers give us great tips on how to bathe and groom our Siberian Huskies and treat both Sasha and Trooper with love and respect.

ONLY groomers EVER where she enjoys the experience. An absolute favorite! Would only bring my dog here. Always treated and felt as a part of the family. Calm, friendly enviornment for all dogs. Plus they are holistic!

I took my pomeranian there three times for a scissor cut grooming session. The first two times, they cut his "private part" - and got infected the 2nd time. I spoke with the manager (Maria), who apologized profusely for the mistake; she assured me this wouldn't happen again. I took him in for the third time and spoke with the manager in person to confirm that the would be careful about not cutting him. As she inspected his private area, she pulled out a burr and made him yelp loudly. She acted as though it were no big deal. I felt uncomfortable leaving him in their care and left. The skin by the privates is thin and sensitive (at least on a 10 lbs dog) - I thought she lacked judgement and common sense for doing that. I am extremely disappointed and just want to warn others to inspect their dogs BEFORE and AFTER their grooming appointments :(

I took three of my clients dogs to the Clean Dog to get them washed for company. I was very pleased with the friendly and helpful staff. They were great with the dogs and customers. I will be using their services many more times in the future.

I have two dogs and decided to take my youngest to The Clean Dog. My previous groomer left Barking Hound in Midtown recently and I'd heard so many good reviews about The Clean Dog that I decided to try it out. I asked for the Midtown Groom for $45 and found it to be overpriced. My dog looked exactly the same when I picked her up, she just smelled better. Also when I arrived there was a woman attempting to steer a dog that looked like a med size collie to the grooming area. Instead of coaxing him to the area or even trying to talk to him into it, she put a lead on him and dragged him forcefully all the way to the back. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm by it, but my dogs are treated like members of my family and I wouldn't want anyone to do that to them. All in all I'm sure some love it, however I won't be going back.
