I have to admit, I was a bit underwhelmed at first w/the Defoor Centre, however the overall experience was very nice. At first, it seemed the venue was an enormous open gallery w/a few paintings (questionably appropriate for a wedding) on the walls w/inadequate seating. But the coordinator then directs you thru the labyrinth to the Forum area, and voila! The food was delicious & innovative, and the bar service excellent. The only complaints I had about the venue were the lack of multiple bathrooms (a distraught young lady locked herself in the only bathroom I could find), and the maze like arrangement. It was a wonderful wedding & a very nice event space!

This is one of those places that you pass by all the time and wonder about. My friend lives in the area and we saw the sign advertising brucnh. It's a cool gallery with amazing artwork everywhere. The buffet is sooo good! I am not a fan of grits; but these cheese grits are incredible! For the price - less than $15 with tax - you get a ton of food, plus dessert and a free bloody mary or mimosa. They are not stingy with the pour, either! There were breakfast and lunch items to choose from. It was all made with love. One downside - they don't have a patio, which would have been perfect this weekend.
