The Goddard School in Snellville is dedicated to advancing excellence in education and raising children's performance in continual basis. We strive to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that encourages a lifelong love of learning. Our SACS CASI accredited Curriculum is designed to facilitate learning through exploration, communication, and enrichment activities.
Management is extremely unprofessional ( Kathleen and the owner Nillie pourak). They are selling you the Goddard name but not the experience. They are mostly concern with money and not the well being of your child. My child kept getting hurt, one instance another child spit in his face and another one hit him in his nose ( i had to ask the teacher to write a notification!). Which tells me that Several physical incidents happened without ANY notification from the teacher or staff. Unless your child is old enough to communicate the happenings of day to day, I would not trust this school with your most precious gift. They have high teachers' turnover because they dont pay much but they make a lot of money. My kid's class had about 20 kids and its $1,006 monthly tuition which does not include food (20 kids x $1,006 tuition x 12 months) =$241k a year for just one class! They have great curriculum but some kids were not completing all the daily curriculum from talking to the other parents because the teachers were unhappy, underpaid, or short staff for many hours during the day. As a parent, i was the one helping that one particular teacher when i pick up my child with breaking up fights and settling down. Which i suggested for them to hire a second teacher, but to my surprised, i was met with extreme resistance. Afterwards voicing to hire more teachers, my child was constantly being picked on and all of sudden i started receiving many calls about him and to pick him up.

Id give 0 stars if possible. I have a special needs child that they kicked out after his first day. I was told everything was fine when I spoke with the teacher in the afternoon and when I picked him up. The next morning they told me that after speaking with the owner he could not come back! When asked why I was first told because he had an accident, was "touching stuff and walking around" and putting things in his mouth (hes 5). Then after my pushback and requests to reconsider and speak with the other director or owner I was told that he was a liability to them because he put items in his mouth! Now if im correct, this IS a child care center with adult supervision! Im sure its not standard procedure to dismiss a non-disabled child on their first day. The director (Kathleen I believe) refused to acknowledge that his autism is a disability. Then Niki who was very condescending and nasty told me that they didn't care about my input or were not interested in suggestions to keep him in school. She also said she spoke with the owner and they were not going to comply with federal ADA laws that REQUIRE them to make reasonable accommodations for my child even if I paid for them. Ive heard horror stories of parents saying their children were discriminated against but this was the first time ive dealt with it and I must say its a really bad feeling.

We have part is the The Goodard School family for 8 yrs. And I can honestly say we have had best experience a parent could ask for. Ms. Kim helped us start our parenting journey during the infant stage and Ms. JoAnn helped us tremendously as we transitioned to elementary school.

I've had nothing but a great experience at Goddard. My son started at 3.5 months old and I was so afraid. They put my fears to bed with their warm caring manner. Ms. Kim and Ms. Rene really care about the kids. Ms. Kim is so sweet and really goes above and beyond. As a new mom, you have so many questions. Ms. Kim always has time to answer my questions (and trust me I have plenty). I wouldn't send my son anywhere else!

Our family has been with the Goddard school for almost a year, since my son was 5 months old. His teachers in the Bunnies class were nurturing and caring. They took time to not only get to know our son, but our family as well. They have an open door policy to observe and volunteer, which rely helped to put my mind at ease about childcare. Since being enrolled, my son has learned to sign multiple words and is always ready to show what he has learned. The office staff has been more than customer friendly. They go out of their way to provide parents and students with nothing but the best. Overall, I am very pleased with the experience that Goddard has afforded us. :-)

10/21/2013 My husband and I are both working professionals who travel quite a bit and really were sold on the idea of the curriculim the Goddard School provided. Within a one month period, our childs teacher changed twice. The teacher turnover ratio is unnerving! The owner will tell you anything to get you in the door but will not follow through on any of your concerns or issues. Several physical incidents happened without ANY notification from the teacher or staff. Unless your child is old enough to communicate the happenings of day to day, I would not trust this school with your most precious gift. They are selling you on the "Goddard Name" but not the "Goddard Servie".They are more concerned about your MONEY than they are your child's future. "Very displeased over what my family has experienced with this school".

My son has attended Snellville Goddard since he was 4 months old in Ms. Kim's class. She was so nurturing and caring toward our son. He is now in the junior pre-K room and has LOVED each class and teacher that he has encountered. Truthfully as his parents, we've LOVED each teacher. They are invested in the development of each child and encourage parent involvement. There is a high quality curriculum and structure. Technology is leveraged especially in the blue bird classroom and beyond. My son has learned so much, especially in Ms. Darri's classroom. He can name all of the planets, is environmentally aware (planted a garden, cooked hot dogs in a solar oven), can count to 100 etc. Ms. Darri (3 year old/ pre-school room) is an extraordinary teacher, she has high expectations of the children. When teachers read them books the children are asked to identify the main idea and discuss the 5 W's, who, what, when, where and how. Snellville Goddard teaches children about math, science, creative expression, reading, social development, and one of my favorites, CRITICAL THINKING!! Snellville Goddard's family events go above and beyond by including local firefighters, bouncy houses, BBQs, Holidays around the World etc... As the owner, Ms. Nillie is a warm and compassionate presence at the school. The only drawback we've encountered has been teacher turnover. Yet, all of the teachers are well trained & highly qualified! Ms. Dorothy, Joy, Jennifer, Barbra & Liva rock too!

If you are looking for a school that values your child more than MONEY this is NOT the school!!!! The review written by PURPLE HAVEN is definitely fabricated! It is strategically written by a staff member of The Goddard School in Snellville! Pay attention to all of the details listed, this was definitely not written by a mother with kids that is not being paid by this school! If there is ever an incident with your child at this school, I can almost guarantee that you WILL NOT get the truth! The front staff (Owner, Directors, etc) will LIE and give you false details of what happened! The OWNER AND DIRECTORS will inform the teachers exactly what to tell the parent or even tell the teachers not to say anything to the parents about incident!!!!!! It is sad that a school has to stoop to level of making up reviews in order to lure parents in! Advice to the Goddard Staff - The next time you want to do a review of your school and pretend it is a concerned parent please leave out some of the educational (strategic) details and do it from a loving parental perspective!!!!!!!!! The photo was the icing on the cake!!!!!! Written by a REAL MOM!!!!!

Immediately pulled my daughter out after 6 months of attending the Goddard when she got kicked in the mouth by another child and came home with bruised bloody swollen gums without any teachers seeing the incident. Perfectly understandable, things happen. But school was completely unprofessional in handling the incident. Emails and phone calls were never returned. No follow ups. Owner showed no effort to take care of us in the situation, but busy just trying to collect and post charges that she couldn't even explain where they were coming from after we decided to pull her out without 2 week notice due to the lack of attention, courtesy, respect, & professionalism. Acted as if it was not a big deal and they didn't want to deal with it. Further issues with final balance, when confronted about random charges the owner rudely commented "Our billing system is accurate, I don't have time for this" after I gave her a week to email me back detailing what the random charges were, but again didn't contact me. Didn't want to deal with the school any longer so I'm paying extra and don't know for what + the medical bills + my daughter has part of her mouth where her gums are permanently detached according to the doctor. If parents still go to this school after reading this....then you deserve this school. Good luck.

We enrolled our child in July 2011 and are very pleased with the attention and care he is receiving. The price of this school was actually less than others around and their teachers are well educated. He has only been with one teacher so far so I can only comment on her but I must say Michelle makes me feel like she takes care of the children as she would her own. The owner is a pleasure to work with as well. I would recommend others to this school.

I have had my child in this school for 3 and a half years and have been pretty happy. Staff turnover has been higher than I expected but i hope they can re-group and still keep the kids needs as their #1 priority.

I have 2 children at the Goddard in Snellville. Our youngest was enrolled at 3 months and is now two. The teachers and staff are loving, courteous and competent. The owner is on site daily and is always available to us when needed. Experience from previous daycares enable me to appreciate that I can communicate with my children's teachers without language barriers, and I know they are being fed well. Regarding infant care, I have complete confidence with Ms. Kim. She is thorough, efficient and most of all has a genuine love for the babies.

I absolutely love the Goddard Snellville!!! They have been so warm and welcoming since we first walked through the doors a year ago! It is comforting to know that my child is in good hands since I am a teacher and work with children on a daily basis as well. The staff is always willing to work with you and listen to any little concerns you may have!!

My child was in a room under a teacher he should not have been in and picked up another child's bottle and dranked it. Guess what? It was breast milk!!!. Yes, my child dranked another womens bodily fluids. As a result, my child had to get 2 HIVs and Hep C tests just to make sure the milk was not contaminated. The teachers were negligent in leaving the bottle in reach of a toddler. Let me also add, Ms. Kim(infant room) is the rudest teacher I've ever meant. My other child can barely count to 50 and when I asked what did he/she learn at school. The response: "I played". The homework is sent on a very inconsistent basis. Please do your research before you put your child into this school. The PTA is all about fundraisers but never addresses how we can better enrich the children lives. The building looks nice and the name sounds great but your Child will be very behind academically. Please ask get feedback from ex-Goddard parents to get the truth.

Our family has been very pleased with the quality of care our 3.5 year old son has received at this Goddard. Our son has been attending the school for just over a year. He began when he was 2.5 years old; this was his first daycare experience. I was hesitant about putting him into daycare - I have bad memories of daycares from my own youth - but the fresh and clean atmosphere and genuine affection I saw between the teachers and students set me at ease. My son has had such a very positive experience with the school and looks forward to going each day. The front office staff is very responsive and friendly. The teachers, especially Ms. Shawnte' in the 3 year old room, are excellent and really care for the children. We are in the process of moving and one of the things we will miss when we move is the care at Goddard!
