Went to HD to replace a large dead triple topiary ball tree and was humiliated, berated and insulted by mgr John Lippelt who pretty much accused me of stealing the tree because I didn't have a receipt, only the gift card showing how much I paid for it. His loud, confrontational and irresponsible behaviour, in front of customers, was so reprehensible that I told him that I would post this incident on facebook. He got so angry that he told me to get out of his store/ Pushed my card w/ the heavy tree towards me (i'm 135 lbs, small framed middle aged woman) and physically nudged my husband towards the door. He was so sarcastic and insolent telling me that he would give me the number to corporate when I mentioned that I would complain. All this because the the tree which I purchased late summer 2011 was already dying and , of course didnt match the twin tree on the other betwixt the other garage doors, and wanted to exchange it for a live tree. I am in such shock and would never support this store again, despite the fact that there are same very helpful employees at that store. I did absolutely nothing to deserve it and John Lippellts eventual decision to give my husband a gift card for the return does not erase, rectify, explain or placate the situation or experience.

I HAD to go to Home Depot, because I had a gift card from there. Our hot water heater at our business went out and I went to this location to get one. I was by myself, but I wasn't worried, I figured I could get someone to help me with the hot water heater since it was heavy, boy was I wrong. Firstly, the store was empty, but there were plenty of people working, just kind of standing around with nothing to do. I told someone I was going to buy a hot water heater and that I needed a cart, they said the carts are outside. OKAY. Went to find a cart. Came back in to get the hot water heater. As I was loading the hot water heater on to the cart a worker came by and looked at me funny. Yeah, I look funny dude, I'm grunting trying to lift this crap by myself. Thanks for the help. When I check out there's this young girl, she didn't want to be there obviously. She couldn't have been ruder. If you give me a gift card, I'll go there. But I'll take my own money to Lowes. And I HATE Jimmy Johnson, ha.

We purchased a dishwasher from this Home Depot. From there, every thing went down hill. The salesman kept insisting that I needed a 120 volt wiring installation kit, at an additional charge. I kept telling him that was for original installations of a new dishwasher and not for a replacement dishwasher. Then his story changed that our old wiring may not pass the installer inspection, and we would be charged for another installtion trip. All this was an outright lie. On the scheduled day of delivery, no one showed, and no one knew why. Turns out that Home Depot subcontracts delivery and installations to some small company with one truck that constantly breaks down. Two days later the dishwasher arrived, and it was obvious the two installers had no idea what they were doing. They broke a plumbing line and scratched and dented the new dishwasher. Home Depot's answer to all of this was that I should have told them two days ago. They were still confused, thinking the dishwasher had been delivered two days ago. I said no, it was just delivered. They did not believe me and started arguing with me. I went back to the store and spoke to the appliance dept manager face to face. He was very rude and told me to speak with a Sarah. She in turn handed me off to a Scott, who was suppose to work on my complaint. Nothing was done for a week. I went back to the store and informed the store manager he would next hear from my attorney.

No matter your proximity to the West Cobb Home Depot, if your needs require a professional kitchen or bath designer, a drive over to meet with Jody Dodson will be well worth your time - tell him Cheryl & Jim sent you.

The staff at the West Cobb Home Depot is the best. As DIY'ers, they have provided valuable information, including teaching us to solder, assisting with a jammed nail gun, and assisting us with finding us the perfect Christmas tree.

The last 3 or 4 times I've been to this store I've left angry or irritated. Their customer service people were rude and not helpful at all... and actually condescending. I went to Lowe's across the street. They had no problems helping me.

Go across Dallas Hwy to Lowes! This Home Depot is filthy; you can hardly walk down the aisles because of all the 'junk'. No one ever seems willing to help!

I recently moved to Marietta, GA from Maryland. I have gone to this Home Depot at least 5 times in the past two weeks. This place is clean, organized, and crawling with staff that are eager to come up and help you. and they CAN actually HELP you!! I finally took my husand this evening, and he laughed at how helpful the staff is. I told him not to waste anytime actually looking for anything, staff will come up to him and walk him to the items on his list. Whoever is the manager there needs an award for hiring and training such a professioal and helpful staff.
